8 AS exams, 3.5 weeks - enough or not?
Straight up answer, I have eight exams in 3.5 weeks. I've not started revision or made any notes (except for the normal class notes that everyone makes during term-time).
3 x Maths
1 x Bio
2 x Econ
2 x Socio
Enough time or not? Yes I realize i've left it pretty late, although I'm just curious if any past students left it this late and were fine with it. -
Re: 8 AS exams, 3.5 weeks - enough or not?
im in the same position.
priotise maths;bio and the rest should fall around when your not revising.
this may sound sad.i have stoped tv,facebook ....
you sleep,relax,revise...
its only 3 weeks plus think how devastated your results were...that should motivate yo..i know it does me -

To be honest, it's unlikely you'll be getting all As or anything, unless you're one of those geniuses who only have to read something once and they remember it forever. I'd like to think I'm an able student and I also think I left AS exam revision too late. I left revising for 4 probably a similar space of time before the exams (Psychology, Bio, English Lit, Physics) and came out with ABBE in those papers. In fact it was that set of exams that ensured I wouldn't leave any others as late as that time ever again. (I later had to re-sit the E in Jan, but this time made sure I started gentle revision maybe 5 or 6 weeks prior to the exam and got 2 UMS off an A)
If I were you I'd just work my bum off as hard as possible. AS levels are so important, because exams will only get more demanding next year. Good luckLast edited by britchick; 22-04-2012 at 22:38. -
Re: 8 AS exams, 3.5 weeks - enough or not?The last thread I made was on 16th March which is irrelevant to what I'm asking in this one. Do your research next time.(Original post by VictorDeLost)
You and miracle kid make a thread like this every other day.
Maybe just..................revise for a change?
The saddest thing is, people actually reply to you.
I don't mean to be rude, it's just something I've noticed. -

I have a contraversial revision method, I don't do any revision directly for the exams, but I listen intently in lessons and do my set homework on time.
Once it comes to exams, I know everything I need to for the exam. I don't need to revise. It works for me. -

To be blunt..
Make a list of when your exams are, so you know which subjects are the most urgent.
Get off TSR and Facebook.
Stop stressing about whether you have enough time to do well.
REVISE as much as you CAN.
Don't think about what grade you're going to get, just do the most you can between now and then. There is no other option, and no number of threads that you make is going to change that. You're not going to get people telling you that you're going to get straight As in every single exam when you haven't done anything because, unless you're incredibly clever or have a brain like a sponge, it probably won't happen. But you CAN get "decent" grades, and resolve to work harder next year.. which is almost as good, and could equal GOOD grades in the end. -
Re: 8 AS exams, 3.5 weeks - enough or not?Yay I'm famous. Although I'm pretty sure I've only made maybe 2 threads max.(Original post by VictorDeLost)

Re: 8 AS exams, 3.5 weeks - enough or not?
I remember how I used to make these kind of threads before, asking others if I had enough time.
You have enough time. Get off TSR and stop looking at other threads like these. Start revising and take it easy.
Looking at responses such as "no" and "never" will just put you down.
