Pri-mark
adi-das
Adee-das just sounds weird... Like people who say nik-ee instead of just nike
Correct nike named after Greek goddess of victory and therefore it is pronounced Nigh-keey -

Re: How do you pronounce..
The Roman godess would be Nike. In classical latin, that would be Nee-kay.
Adidas would be Adi-das. After the founder Adolf "Adi" Dassler. His brother Rudi started Puma.
**EDIT**** what a load of rubbish. As pointed out, the goddess Nike is as Greek as not paying tax.Last edited by Clip; 25-04-2012 at 16:29. -
Re: How do you pronounce..You'd be better off citing a reputable source, not some ignorant bloke on the webz. Click on the loudspeaker symbol here, for instance: http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dic...y/english/nike(Original post by Dmon1Unlimited)

Re: How do you pronounce..Er, Nike was a Greek goddess, and has nothing to do with the Romans or Latin. The Latin equivalent is "victoria", pronounced wicktoria.(Original post by Clip)
