Need help with few math problems
First of all I'd like to say that I have no idea whether that's going to work or not but I really, really need help, so ... Basically, I'm final year in high-school (Bulgaria) and I have a few (12) math problems to solve for tommorow that are really important. Unfortunately I suck in math as 99% of the people around my and the are relatively good at it are not avaliable right now, so I had to try. I've solved 6, so there's 6 more ...

    Here are the problems:

Ignore the writing. When there is "a" it's a parameter (real parameter) and the task is to find its value. The roots x1 and x2 are real too

    First equation with parameter:

    x^2+(a-1)x+2a=0

    if x1=3x2+1

    The second one:

    x^2+ax+2a-3=0

    if x1/x2 + x2/x1= 3

Hope it works and there is someone that could help. Thank you in advance : ) !

please write out the questions clearly. I will help, but I'm not going to decipher random scribblings to determine what you're being asked.

Here it is ! As for the clear questions - that's the problem I have never asked math questions in English before and I have no idea about the right math vocabulary. So I hoped that someone will grasp what I'm supposed to do.

Also, I have no idea how you solve problems, I'm just betting on "math is math, no matter where" : ) !

Just quoting you so you could see if you still want to help and if it's readable ...

question 1: is the question written exactly like that? Should the first line be x_1^2?

    question 2: same

    question 3: Use log rules

    log a + log b=log ab
    log a - log b=log (a/b)
    nlog x = log (x^n)
    log_n(x)=y \iff n^y=x

question 4: turn the right hand side into an expression of the form log [f(x)] then note that log x is an increasing function. So if you find the point when log [f(x)]=1 you have solved the inequality. note also that log_n(n)=1

question 5: add 1 to both sides then take the 6.3^x+6 to the other side then take logs

question 6: similar to the first question. set it equal to 0 then solve this. because the function is continuous you need only consider the points either side of when it's zero.

if you need more help just ask.

I'm not sure whether you're serious or a sophisticated troll ...
