Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?Basically, I'm 18 and have realised on my driving lessons that my eyesight is sub-par and I definitely need to get some glasses for seeing things far away.
Then I noticed that rather a lot of teenagers seem to wear glasses - and then quite a few more I remembered wear contacts for school everyday.
I just wanted to do a poll to see just how many people our age need glasses.
(I don't mean do you need to wear glasses every moment of the day, it includes if you need them at any point, even if just for driving or seeing the board at school or something.)Last edited by Amy-Rose; 23-04-2012 at 20:59. -

Neither. I have one eye that's really bad, but the optician said that my other eye makes up for it, so I don't need any glasses or anything!
I'm imagining this being told to someone with one eye: "don't worry love, you don't need two eyes anyway, the one you have makes up for you having an empty hole in the other

Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?Excellent vision in one eye, other one not so good... found to have a lazy eye when I was 10 (rather late
), had to wear an eyepatch to make it work - improved quite a bit . Still meant to do some maintenance patching but that goes in stops and starts. Have glasses for it too, don't wear them all the time.

Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?I've worn glasses since I was 18 months old! Guess that makes my vision pretty bad lol. My left eye is worse than my right though which makes it lazy when I'm tired! I remember having to wear patches when I was a kid!

Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?I've had glasses since I was 8/9 and my eyesight is pretty bad, -6 in one eye and -6.5 in the other! I do have contacts for going out and special occasions, but they are too much of a faff for every day
