Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?Do they not? Maybe I'd better get myself an appointment booked then! :/(Original post by Renacata)
They're fine, honestly. I've never had anyone blow air in my eyes. I had eyedrops to dilate my pupils when I was very young but I don't think they routinely do that to adults. The worst part is that they shine a really bright light into your eyes to illuminate the back of your eyeball and check for health problems - other than that, it's just reading/looking at things

Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?Admittedly there are a couple of slightly unpleasant tests but the main one with the letters and numbers is just like a game(Original post by Breens345)

Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?
I always wanted glasses when I was younger because in infant school someone had disney princess ones
Butlast year U went to opticians and couldn't read the letters well so I got told I'm short sighted and need to wear glasses when watching TV, reading, writing, cinema and when in the classroom at school. I expect I'll also have to wear them when I drive too

Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?They only put drops in if they really have too. I get them put in almost everytime I go to the eye infirmary. They always takes hours to wear off.(Original post by Breens345)

I always get lights shone in my eyes too. Not good for someone who has photophobia. -

Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?Is NeuroVision available in UK?(Original post by EmilyD237)
Excellent vision in one eye, other one not so good... found to have a lazy eye when I was 10 (rather late
), had to wear an eyepatch to make it work
- improved quite a bit
. Still meant to do some maintenance patching but that goes in stops and starts. Have glasses for it too, don't wear them all the time.
haha - my 100th post

Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?How is it happening? Do you do some exercises or something?(Original post by Alotties)
I'm -1.5 in one eye and -1.75 in the other :P
I wear glasses part time.
My eyesight has been improving over the years (started wearing glasses when I was 11, so 6 years ago) I used to be like -3 in both, so I hope at some point I may not need glasses anymore. -
Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?
I usually wear glasses, contacts if I'm going out and don't want to feel incredibly self-conscious, but that's only because I have to wear glasses for colour-blindness. My eye sight itself is 20/20, but I suffer from total colour-blindness, which means that in order to help differentiate between colours (very vaguely mind you), I have red-tinted glasses, which while they don't draw much attention in college because of people getting used to them, can get some dodgy looks if I go out wearing them, so I also have contacts.
Granted, it can be fun as hell sometimes. I was doing a inter-schools project at college as part of G&T, and the first thing this year 7 did was ask me if I was dressed as Cyclops because I'd lost a bet :P
Other than that, my eyes rock

Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?Yeah I wear contact lenses. I used to wear glasses and then moved to contact lenses when I was about 13 - getting used to touching your eyes does take a little while. But the convenience is worth it.(Original post by buildalegohouse)
I have awful vision so I wear glasses. Never tried contacts but the idea is gross. *shudders* -
Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?You must join us in the Misty Mountains.(Original post by Amy-Rose)
Basically, I'm 18 and have realised on my driving lessons that my eyesight is sub-par and I definitely need to get some glasses for seeing things far away.
Then I noticed that rather a lot of teenagers seem to wear glasses - and then quite a few more I remembered wear contacts for school everyday.
I just wanted to do a poll to see just how many people our age need glasses.
(I don't mean do you need to wear glasses every moment of the day, it includes if you need them at any point, even if just for driving or seeing the board at school or something.)
The mountains helped us get big shiny eyes and trained us to see in the dark to catch those nasty goblinses when we're hungry.

Re: Do you have perfect vision or do you have glasses/contacts?
My right eye is pretty bad, but my left is fine, so I never really noticed a problem for years. The prescription for my right eye is getting stronger year by year, though. (I should have a look, numbers wise, I can't actually remember.)
Technically I'm supposed to wear my glasses all the time, but at school I'd just use them for electronic whiteboards and computer stuff. Nowadays it's habit for me to reach for them when I go on the computer, and if I don't get them right away I usually end up wearing them within half an hour, because it's more comfortable and takes screen glare away. I wear them all day some days, rarely when I go out, though. Never wear them for driving, either.
(I have one pair that I call my 'decent' pair, and then my 'comfortable' pair, which I originally planned on wearing at home only. I'm so used to them and they're so much more comfy I never actually wear the 'good' ones. In fact I think I look weird in the decent ones, even though I wore that style all the time at school.

and they need to check that it's not getting worse.
