SO CONFUSED. Referencing help please!!
Hi,
Please please help me! I'm referencing old french in an essay which is written in English.
The quote is: "Benoit soient tuit li apaiseur"
The modern French translation is: "Benis soient tous les pacificateurs"
The English is "blessed are the peacemakers"
Do I:
a) Quote the old french only
b) Quote the old french and put the new french in brackets
c) Quote the old french and put the english in brackets
d) Quote the old french and put the new french in the footnote
e) Something else entirely?
Cannot find info on this anywhere online
Thank you!! -
