Re: Anyone going to Glasgow Caledonian University 2012?
Hi there!
Yup, I'm going this year!
I'm really excited cos I've wanted to go to Glasgow Caledonian for ages now. I'm hoping to get into halls but apparently the application form isn't available until the end of April :/
I'm going to be doing Psychology with Interactive Entertainment. What is everyone else going to be studying? -
Re: Anyone going to Glasgow Caledonian University 2012?I emailed at the end of march about applying for accommodation but I was told that the application form won't be available until end of April so probably next week sometime.(Original post by reebz123)
I've accepted my conditional for International Business at Caley! Soooo excited, just wanna go to uni now! Has anyone heard anything about applying for accommodation yet? X -
Re: Anyone going to Glasgow Caledonian University 2012?
has anyone with an unconditional offer already firmed? Did you get a confirmation email or anything from GCU that they received the information and look forward to meeting you in September etc?
Also, will they send out welcome packages or additional information about how to get there and when and stuff? when, any ideas?

Re: Anyone going to Glasgow Caledonian University 2012?
Awww that is good
I have been wanting to go for ages too, and when my unconditional came through accepted it straight away! I was going to apply for Psychology with IE but decided Social Sciences is better for me so I am studying Socail Sciences yay, anyone else doing it?
And yeah I am hopefully going into Buchanan View Halls just next to Caley. Cannot wait!
I got a confirmation letter and email when I firmed my choice, but I am not sure about welcome packages... I firmed in January and haven't recived anything yet, so I don't know! -

Also, I applied for Buchanan View halls as well. Made the deposit today after much messing around with my bank.Last edited by Miss Trololol; 26-04-2012 at 17:12. -
Re: Anyone going to Glasgow Caledonian University 2012?That's not the 'official' GCU hall, is it? Or is it a part of Caledonian Court? I have no idea how this UNITE stuff works... Application is not via GCU I guess? I wish I was not so far away and could take a look myself(Original post by Miss Trololol)

Re: Anyone going to Glasgow Caledonian University 2012?No, I figured that my chances of getting into the official GCU hall was pretty low. While I live a far distance away and it's my first year, I'm 20. Priority goes to first year students, under 19s and international students.(Original post by StineS)

Yeah, UNITE is a little tricky. It took me a little while to figure out the website

Re: Anyone going to Glasgow Caledonian University 2012?Ohh well... Maybe I should give UNITE a closer look as well(Original post by Miss Trololol)

Re: Anyone going to Glasgow Caledonian University 2012?I think it's anyone who normally lives outside of the UK is classed as an International student(Original post by StineS)
Wait, does European count as "international" in this case? I'm never sure...

Re: Anyone going to Glasgow Caledonian University 2012?
No, I am pretty sure that International students are those outsine UK and outsine EU

Miss Trololol, really? I am also 20. Didn't know that age matters in this case... So sad, then I have no idea where I will be living
D
I wanted to ask about answering offers. Do I have to wait until I get my IELTS and then answer or I have to answer now that I will take IELTS as they asked me?
