    Re: Runescape
I played from 2006 ( i missed the easter ring by like a day ) I played on and off as my ability to buy membership has come and gone.
    I'm lvl 122 and have 2022 Total
I still play as i still enjoy it
My favourite memory was back in early '07 i got hacked for all my money (2m lol) and made 12m in a week , got hacked again the day after i reached 12m .
I play a lot less (from 4 hours to about 40 minutes day) during/before exams.

How do you tell how many days you played for?
If you're a member you can set up an Adventure Log which displays the number of total days and hours you've played.

I loved runescape, played it since 2006 up until getting banned in October last year. My fondest memory would probably be making my first million, grinding endless hours during the night for my first 99 in fletching, finishing harder quests like Desert Treasure and Monkey Madness, etc. It's an amazing game, there is no doubt about it, unfortunately I lost the motivation to keep on playing and turned to botting instead. I really liked using bots, since they didn't interfere with my social life and everyone seemed to be doing it. Honestly, the botting community outside of runescape was larger than Zybez for example. I recieved a permanent ban, finishing with an account at level 103 with a 2300+ total level and 18 99s, really regret having botted now because I'd really like to start playing again. Unfortunately, they haven't answered my appeal yet after 6+ months

Surprised they banned you they roll back most accounts now. I don't get people who bot, if you don't want your social life to get interfered just play fewer hours overall. That being said i did have the urge at times to bot :P i've never done it and proud :P

I played it for a while and was fairly addicted to it, but I decided to stop and concentrate on more important things. I tried going back recently but I wasn't able to get in to, so I can safely assume that I've fully kicked it now. Looking back, the idea of being addicted to it is quite pathetic, though I do still have some nostalgic memories from when I was young of what an exciting new world it was.

Gosh, was so addicted... at the height of my addiction, I remember crying because my Dad refused to pay for a membership for me on it xD (thank GOD he was so reluctant to do so and yeah I acted like a spoilt 10 year old child.. but that was the power of RS! ). I also used to daydream in school about the new rainbow shoes I'd be able to obtain later that evening when I got home... ahhh

I played from 2007-2010 and I gave up because I just got bored of it all, felt I had nothing much to do. I got to like level 128 or something and had like £200m. The game was quite alot of fun and I would probably do it all over again because I only played on and off from year 8 to year 11 so it didn't interfere with much. But I wouldn't play it now or in the future.

Fondest memory probably was getting this mask from a treasure scroll on the day of the release, then sold it for like £40m

    Re: Runescape
Prompted by this I just logged in for the first time in 864 days (Its been a while)
    AND ITS SO DIFFERENT
BUT still no extra quests for free members (what a surprise).
Was addicted for about 6 months when I was 11, then for another 6 months when I was 13 and hadn't played since. Was only a member for 1 month then after I was free for the rest of my play time. Highest levels I got to were lvl 69 Woodcutting and 55 Archery and had golden rimmed dragonhide, which I got as a member then changed to free and never took it off telling people I was jagex employee
I got bored as the game had become so different since when I had first played it, Eg Trade limit & Widerness not being PvP

Yes I would. I absolutely loved RS. It was the freedom and the ability to turn your cute, little level 3 into a beast. I fell out of love with the game over the changes that happened within it. Still class game.

Edit: My highlight was making my first million. Felt like a boss.
I loved the game a few years ago. Right now it's too easy to level up and it's too commercialised with all these perks for being a member, like glowing weapons. When I think about the days when I was thieving the guards in ardougne, slaying crawling hands and running to the nature alter I feel happy. I do wish I could play again when I was 12 back in the days.

I guess you're talking about infinity boots or the 'fancy boots'. If only I knew more about my work and less about Runescape! When I eventually got rich I remember buying literally everything like that. I bought full infinity, the godswords, santa hats (not quite rich enough for party hats which were like 2-3b at the time)... aww I wish I could play again!

Yes yes! The fancy boots. If I remember correctly, it's from that underground place where you had to go through levels and fight your way to the treasure box... Unfortunately, I wasn't a rich player :P I remember I was rich enough for like... one of those Rune skirts with a gold hem... I've forgotten the names for all the fancy RS items :P

    Re: Runescape
I have clocked up about 250 days on this I believe, throughout secondary school.

I wouldn't do it again, I wish I could reverse time.

My best moment would probably be being the 200 something person to get 99 runecrafting. Back then, it was really rare and I had trails of people following me. I quit the game because of the various methods that came out after i got 99 that made the game easier. E.g assistance, zmi altar, runecrafting guild, graahk crafting, effigy, some new minigame out apparently.

I had to get 99 runecrafting avoiding 'rc pkers' trying to snatch a quick glory (back then worth 100K) and going through the abyss.

I came back for a couple of days because I was bored and got from about 80 strength to 99 in two days. Shows how easy the game is nowadays.

    LOOOOOL

I am 16 now, and when I was around 9 years old, I got into this game for the first time. I got REALLY addicted to it (as in I would actually dream about it, and just crave about it all day long)

My grades really slipped because of it at one point, but now they are fine. Yeah, this game is just majorly addictive if you get to into it lmao.

What?? How is that possible? How did you train it up so fast?

    Re: Runescape
I've taken a break to concentrate on exam revision for my A Levels, I did the same with GCSEs. It made me feel like I didn't need to be sociable in real life, which was probably the biggest problem with it. I was an outsider at school, not an obvious one, I still had friends, but RS was the bigger picture for me. It was definitely fun while it lasted but I'm happy I had my addiction-phase while I was younger, rather than older. To be fair, it kept me off a lot of things like getting drunk every weekend, or getting stoned all the time. Admittedly, I have been getting drunk more often but at least I'm older now.

My best in game moments were 99 Cooking, Fishing and Fletching. I really enjoyed doing quests too. As with some of the other posts, I met most of my RS friends on fansites, and I'm still in contact with them to this day. It was really the community spirit which kept me active, otherwise I'd have left years ago. I also never told anyone in real life that I still played, just because it's so shunned here.

Gold trimmed rune skirt. Or something like 'Rune Skirt (g)' I remember drooling over people with full rune guthix, zamarok or saradomin trimmed armour

Even if I did get the account back, it would be rolled back anyway. I didn't either, I was a fair player for many years and bots always ruined my gaming experience, until the day I decided to become one of them. The 99s just kept rolling in and it was so easy, botting for me was more addictive than playing itself even though I never actually sat at the computer. Good for you though, with my account banned I wish I never had started botting in the first place
