lololol, same here xD I felt kinda jealous that they could wear all that and I couldn't D: ah yes, "Buying rune skirt (g) for 200k" x 100000000
Whenever you got the item you were saving for it was only good for a few days day. I remember buying a godsword, full dragon armour, santa hats etc... and the fun part was saving to get them. Once you had it, it was rather boring :/ I do wish I'd skilled more rather than keep saving for things I didn't need lol

That is so true, you work harder getting somewhere and once you achieve that you relax.

Remember when i use skill so hard until when i was able to afford my first party hat and just lost the zeal to do anything but stand around varrock center, grand exchange or edgeville bank, doing absolutely nothing but merely showing off my hat . lol, the joys of the good old days that we'll miss..sigh

I would do it all over again, I'm level 137 and haven't logged on in 3 and a half years

Anyway, best ingame moments was definitely spending time chatting to people and going to group events, without the people behind it I would have quit ages ago.
I still keep my account, so it can remind me of some of the little achievements I have and how I spent my youth lol.
    Truely remarkable

i used to play in 2004 until about 2007 when i left for WOW.

RS was crazy, pretty much took over my life.. i was in one of the top pking clans and most nights we would be out for 3 hours or so looking for fights :P i still remember we used to get between 100-150 people pking with us on some nights, no wonder we were so disorganised and lost to smaller teams, nevertheless it was still very fun when we disbanded thats when i quit.

i logged in a few days ago to check my char was still there, no surprise i had been hacked :\ , he took my blue mask and about 20m worth of other stuff. funny thing is he leveled my character though, i was 110 combat when i quit, i am now 120 with 99 att str def lol, he also got my 85 slayer (i was on like 30) and he got my mining to 96 (mine was around 50) .

I would do it all over and in fact I still play, but the game has gone down a lot because of commercialisation so I started some private servers where the game is set in the 2006 era.
It's so true, there are just way too many updates that makes the game looks too fancy with all sorts of dresses, glowing weapons etc.

I prefer when it was just more like ancient warrior style which it still is pretty much but it's seems to be a joke with the way they have been bringing out too many updates which makes the game look like that of a circus.

But i still love rs, regardless ^ ^

Runescape was an awesome game. I started back in 2006, and I had some awesome times. I definitely do it all again! I quit around a year ago, though. I'd still play if it was as interesting as it use to be, but it just got boring after so long.

Omg, Dragon kiteshield is well over due but glad it's finally being released. I waited for that item for years. Everyone who loved the dragon full helm or dragon armour on a whole, would of be craving for dragon kiteshield release. A petty i quited now due to being -9bil cleaned.

I bet that dragon kiteshield will be release with some grand master quest & some monster as hard/harder than nex/corparal beast which will be well welcomed i hope. i don't even want to think of the price of it though, people might be trading divines or some half billions + for that ****.

jheeze, That would be a proper beast. lol, i have never done nex,,,was invited to a nex killing clan but rejected the offer cause it looks way too complicated and me not having the fastest of internets so i stayed to something simplier like corperal beast..

    Re: Runescape
    Runescape is awesome tbh..

First started playing when a friend introduced me to it, mid 2004 I believe, before slayer was a skill..and I think it came out in 05. I've played ever since, but I don't really like "grinding" and I'm very on and off with when I play. I mean get into it for 3 months, then not play for 5 months, then play for 4, then not for 4 etc. It's why despite having my account so long, I got my first 99 last year, 99 farming!

tbh I think the £3.20 a month member fee might still be getting paid. So I'll have tons of "loyalty" points haha.

I might go back to it a little this summer, but when I last logged in so much had changed...it's overwhelming when you're out of the loop and there's so much new content, new "good" equipment etc, you don't know what to do with yourself. It's a gift and a curse from runescape, there's so much choice that you don't get bored just doing raids like other MMOs seem to be based on (never played any though so I may be wrong), but at the same time knowing just how long it will take to master each skill and get the best items..it's so beyond you it can make it hard to know where to start.

At least clan mates still remember me when I log on haha, well a couple anyway.

True, lately they have been so many updates, it's unreal how outdated you feel and get once you stop playing for awhile btu quick to catch up most times

For that much, you really can't complain, it's so cheap! I think other's like World of Warcraft are three times the price of that! I was also debating getting back into it, not as much nor as intensive as I previously played (I'm talking any given time), maybe just a few hours a week, try and get back into the swing of things!

    Runescape was awesome!:teeth:

I think though if you become a member now it's more like £5 or something. The reason mine is still low is because from when you sign up, they promise not to raise the monthly fee for you, a way to reward loyal members I suppose. So back when I joined it was at its cheapest and just hasn't risen. Also paying by direct debit is cheaper then methods like texting or buying monthly cards in the shops.
