    Porn Addiction
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zif0_...ure=plpp_video

Apparently arousal addiction is becoming widespread in teen males due to the relatively recent ability to browse internet porn.
It can cause erectile dysfunction, numbed pleasure responses, hyper reactivity to porn, and 'willpower erosion'. Watch the video, it explains it far better than I can.

    What are your thoughts?
Do you think of yourself as a 'porn addict'?
Has anyone given up porn/masturbation entirely?
What positive/negative effects did you feel?

    I've been going for 12 days;
    Pros:
    >General elevated mood
    >More energy
    >More time to spend doing revision
    >Stronger sex drive

    Cons:
    >Random hard ons
    >crazy horniness sometimes
    >occasional wet dreams

and no, I'm not demonising masturbation. It's just an interesting topic.

im a female. not a porn addict but watched a bit before. i masturbated occasionally. was guilty with all that. one night i received the holy spirit and just stopped masturbation since then. i had the urge sometimes but i ignored it (the best way to fight temptation). now i no longer struggle with it. leading a happy life, enjoying studies, work, church and family company. praise the lord

So because you masturbated.. you did not lead a happy life, you hated your studies, hated work, hated church and your family??

i dont want to upset you but you sound to me in a total wrong direction of what humans mean "happy life"

Your stamina in bed tends to drop somewhat if you haven't rubbed one out recently (1-3ish days). Yes I know this through experience.
Not to mention there are few feeling better than it. I have tried going 2/3 weeks without and it made no difference except for the really annoying random hardons you stated, especially at the most inappropriate times..
Oh and yeah and a stronger sex drive if you don't, although masturbation doesn't really reduce it much.

*wonders what it would be like to have a penis (random erections).

I generally crack one out about once a week and to porn. This is enough for me and I don't think there'd be any benefit from reducing it or stopping seeing as 52 times a year is pretty sparse.

It's not an addiction if it feels good.

You can quote me on that.

I went 39 days recently just to see the effects. There are pros and cons for sure. I expect I'll stop again this summer but not yet.

Masturbation destroys my sex drive for a couple of days usually afterwards, unless I'm feeling particularly good.
I also avoid it because afterwards, I feel drained for the rest of the day.
I prefer to feel arousal than none at all.

My mate said he does it every day at least 3 times.

We went on holiday with two other lads and every day he'd be in the bathroom bashing the bishop. I didnt do it once in the same week and he was amazed.

I watched the video. I used to watch porn a lot but it very rarely appeals to me now. I much prefer erotic writing- does this count? or is he just talking about videos?

I masturbate to erotic stories every day unless I'm with my boyfriend (a few days every 3 weeks or so). Is this the same as watching porn everyday?
