Re: The Arsenal Thread XIII would love to have him here but I think he will probably pick United over us. Last week someone reported that he had agreed a contract and was 99.99% certain to sign with them.(Original post by Lyrically)

Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIJust like some reported M'Vila was a dead cert for Arsenal.(Original post by chrissy_h)

Silly season is truly upon us. We have rumours, tours to Timbuktu and crappy kits. Thank god for the Euros, they should help cut out some of the usual tripe the papers usually pen. -
Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIOr the Euros make it worse. Every average player who has a decent tournament get's linked to X, Y and Tottenham.(Original post by Kevmeister)

Re: The Arsenal Thread XII
"I’m not thinking about it yet. The most important thing is to get that third place. Then - if we keep our key players, if we bring in players who can bring something extra, if we make a good start in the league, then, yes, we’ll be contenders for the title."
It is as simple as that, Koscielny knows what he's talking about

Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIExcept for Chelsea winning the CL. I want Arsenal to be the first team to win it out of the three main teams in London. Don't care if Tottenham get top 4.(Original post by Novastream)
Just got this from Twitter...
Last time Athletico Madrid won the Europa league. United finished 2nd, Arsenal 3rd, Tottenham 4th, Liverpool finished 7th, Chelsea won the FA cup and Bayern lost the Champions League final.
Let hope it happens again... -
Re: The Arsenal Thread XIII'm bricking it for Sunday. If we somehow win, it's going to be in the 94th minute I bet. We always do it the hardest, most nerve-wrecking way possible.(Original post by Hantheman)
So excited for Sunday! -
Re: The Arsenal Thread XIINooooooooooooooo D:(Original post by Darth Vader 7)
Clint Dempsey has been ruled out of the Spurs clash at WHL. Oh well, can't see Fulham getting a result now.
Also, Szczesny has injured his shoulder and could be a doubt for Sunday.
Horrible news
Shezzers
! I put a £5 bet on us winning 3-0, my last bet ever.

Re: The Arsenal Thread XII
I don't even want Hazard at Arsenal anymore, City/Utd/Spurs can have him for all I care.
I think the way he conducts himself is disgraceful, constantly talking about his next move etc when he is still under contract and playing for Lille.
He would do a Na$ri within 3 seasons anyway, but at least Na$ri didn't constantly talk about the next club he is going to move to, what colour he will be playing in next season like Hazard has.
Wrt Szczceny possbily being out for Sunday- ****. Although he didn't have the best game against Norwich, it still fills me with fear to imagine Fabianski, or even Almunia
could be playing in one of the the most crucial games of the season.

Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIPersonal grounds? So he means he prefers picking up £40k a week at Arsenal doing **** all? Sounds about right tbh.(Original post by marcusmerehay)
Almunia recently refused a loan move to Oxford on personal grounds (so Martinez went instead), so I'd imagine that Fabianski will start.
Mind you, Mannone is back from his loan spell at Hull so he could be involved.

Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIHe still gets the £40k a week even if he goes on loan doesn't he? I would think that he would want to go out and get a few games to put him in the shopping window, and to get some match fitness since he has only played 4 games all season.(Original post by J.Star)

Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIYeah, he would still get the money, but the atm he doesn't have to do anything bar turn up to training to get it. At least Fabianski talks about leaving as he wants gametime, a place in the Poland squad etc. but Almunia doesn't seem to be bothered.(Original post by chrissy_h)

For all intents and purposes, Almunia is basically on Arsenal-JSA to the tune of £2million a year.
