Depending on who you believe, we went cold on Vertonghen first, and he flirted with Spurs to stick one up at us.

Basically, I think it means ''Jews'' as Spurs have a large majority of Jewish fans and generally that region is full of Jewish people. It was anti-semitic at first but Spurs fans have got used it and now use it as their nicknames.
