Llorente on May 19th - “I am not negotiating with City or any other club. Athletic have offered me a new deal and we are speaking.”

It's probably just to announce he signed a new contract.

Probably, but a lot can change in 10 days - that's the way football is.

Well you're clearly not going to sign anyone for £29 million never mind Llorente.

Llorente is the most un-Wenger like signing that I've heard of for a long time. He's not French, he's not young (relatively) and most importantly he's not cheap

Any particular reason why Vela didn't play for Mexico?

Koscielny didn't play for France today either.

Apparently Blanc rates Mexes higher than Kos.

After tonight maybe he'll give it another think.

Blanc also said he thought Koscielny was the most improved French player this season.

I'm sure he'll get a chance against Serbia on Thursday.

Take it with a pinch of salt as ever but someone earlier reckoned he had it on good authority that we have signed Adam Powell trumping Man Utd by ponying up 20+ grand a week and if you watched football league show earlier one of his mates said he was looking for a house in London

    Isn't it Nick Powell?

I know we were interested in him in January as well.

I've always been an admirer of the youth setup at Crewe, they've produced a number of excellent players in recent years - Nicky Maynard, Billy Jones, Dean Ashton and David Vaughan, for example.

Llorente to Arsenal is never going to happen.... but if Wenger attempted to sign Schweinsteiger last summer, we don't know what he could do this summer.

But Schweinsteiger earns something like 150k a week. If he had signed would we have increased our wage ceiling or what? :dontknow:

    Lool, Llorente to Arsenal

If it was true I'd be happy that we had bought a very good player, but at the same time it would mean the skipper was definitely off to new pastures.

In other news today, apparently Odil Ahmedov said he wants to play for Arsenal. I don't know about Russian football so I can't comment on that.

    LOOOOOOOL!!!!
He attempted to sign schweinsteiger. I love wenger. This guy is one of the funniest managers when it comes to transfers.
He either buys youngsters, cheap frenchman/french speaking countries or germans, with one or two spanish guys to add flair.
