Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIMy betting is he'll turn 21 with only 2 PL goals to his name. There's no real coming back from that. To catch up experience wise he'll need 50-60 game seasons, yet his body won't be ready for that.(Original post by TheEssence)
Wilshere out till october, i think something is very wrong. I also don't see why you guys always put him in our predicted squads, i imagine after over a year out of football he will start out in the reserves and its questionable if he'll be the same player. Lets hope he's not another michael owen, that would be sad, and i would be one to say he has been mismanaged by wenger, he played too many games !
Wilshere as a top talent is over. Shame because he does love football and I have a lot of time for that. -
Re: The Arsenal Thread XIILol, why is everyone talking like Wilshere's recovery is a forgone conclusion?(Original post by Slick Fosbury)
My betting is he'll turn 21 with only 2 PL goals to his name. There's no real coming back from that. To catch up experience wise he'll need 50-60 game seasons, yet his body won't be ready for that.

I only see people talking of the 2 extremes. Some people are saying how he will come back as good as ever because he is mentally strong (Wenger would be proud
), and the rest are saying that his career is over.
My view on the situation is that we should plan for a season with out Wilshere, it seems that Wenger is too if his interest in Sahin and Cazorla is true, and try to ease Jack back in without too much pressure.
In my opinion, anything we do get from Jack this season is a bonus. His long term future is more important which is why we shouldn't have to rely on him this season. -
Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIIf I remember correctly, he left Twitter a while ago to focus on training and recovering fitness (this was before his latest injury, I think).(Original post by Yawn-er)
Unfortunate to hear about Wilshere. Talented player, but can't see him returning to the level he was at or exceeding that level. Hopefully he does a Sam Hutchinson and recovers as quickly as possible.
Is it just me or has he left Twitter? -
Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIOur Medical staff are questionable but that's how Wenger likes it because without a faulty backroom we wouldn't have seen the likes of Cesc, Cole, Van Persie, Wilshere, Scheszney etc take their opportunities and it also saves Wenger spending in the transfer window as the long term injured can be classed as "New signings"
It works both ways so we're happy with it. -

Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIAre you seriously saying Wenger purposefully wants a poor medical team? That's just ridiculous.(Original post by DenmansDinner)

Re: The Arsenal Thread XII
Without injuries to Vieira, Dixon, Kanu, Petit, Gilberto, Pires then we would have probably seen Cesc still on loan at Celta Vigo and co-owned by Espanyol, Van Persie breaking through at some mid table German club, Ashley Cole just completing a £12m move to Tottenham after 4 great seasons at Villa and Jack Wilshere acting as reserve to Mark Noble and Alexandre Song sealing a move to Marsielle after winning the title with Montpellier.
