Re: The Arsenal Thread XII
If he goes to man utd ill burn the jersey i have with his name on the back. No one can claim to care for arsenal only to go to one of our main rivals. If he went goes to juve as much as im angry with him for the way he handled the situation, he can still be forgiven. Going to Man Utd is just as bad as going to City.

- Szeszsny -
- Sagna / Koscielny / Vermaelen / Gibbs
- M'Vila / Song -
- Oxlade / Cazorla / Podolski -
- Groud -
Out
A.Ramsey > Liverpool (Loan)
E.Frimpong > Swansea (£3m)
A.Arshavin > Galatasary (£4m)
N.Bendtner > Werder Bremen (£5m)
C.Y.Park > Lens (Free)
H.Lansbury > Nottingham Forrest (£750k)
K.Bartley > Sunderland (Loan)
S.Squllaci > Bastia (£250k)
R.Miyaichi > Real Betis (Loan)
B.Afobe > Bolton (Loan)
R.Van Persie > Manchester United (£14m)
In
O.Giroud < Montpellier (£9.3m)
L.Podolski < Koln (£8.2m)
S.Cazorla < Malaga (£12.6m)
Y.M'Vila < Rennes (£11.2m)
G.Van Der Weil < Ajax (£6m)
N.Sahin < R.Madrid (Loan)
Frimpong may go on loan in the second half of the season, for now he's not moving either.
Arshavin will only move to a Premier League or Russian club, so Zenit is the more likely destination.
Hamburg is the most likely club for Bendtner, although there has been interest from Milan.
Park and Squillaci will most likely go on loan and run their contracts down, as no club will pay their wages.
Miyaichi needs to stay in Britain to get his passport, so he's not going abroad.
£14m for van Persie? Not likely. Not in the slightest.
M'Vila isn't coming. We haven't made a bid all summer.
There's been no interest in van der Wiel either. Possible interest in Milo though (Egyptian).
The rest of it is all possible, but a strike rate of ~20% registers as a poor trolling attempt. -

"We've made a bid, they [Arsenal] have been trying to negotiate with other clubs....I don't have a gut feeling about it. We can't get a breakthrough with Arsenal." - Ferguson.

He also said about Lucas Moura to PSG:
"When somebody's paying €45m for a 19-year-old boy you have to say the game's gone mad."

Re: The Arsenal Thread XII
Surely not ... When was the last time Wenger sold a player to Fergie? Never.
I literally couldn't think of another club which would make me feel worse than to united other than Spurs. And he'd improve United more than city
**** that, can't imagine Wenger selling a player to themLast edited by Zyyz; 08-08-2012 at 23:30. -

Wenger has never sold a player to Ferguson and everybody knows that Wenger would sooner carry RVP to Turin than sell him to Utd. -
Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIIt doesn't matter where he will carry him to if he doesn't want to play for them. If (not saying he does) only wants to come to us and refuses to go anywhere else, are your penny pinching board going to refuse to sell him leave for free next year? I doubt it. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.(Original post by Zürich)

Re: The Arsenal Thread XII
I would gladly chip in to send him off to City, anything but those lot tbh, even Spurs would be a better option, the lulz of getting money out of them and then watch them still finish behind us even though he scores +25 goals would be magical.
I think there is something really fishy going on here though. Two thoughts that I can't get out of my head is that 1) either United are playing a very public game with several players to reap some sort of financial rewards by garnering a huge amount of optimism in the forthcoming season. I can't remember them being so public about their targets before this and the useless shares they're selling across the pond could do with a serious increase in hype and price. Or 2) Fergie is helping to push up the price along with Wenger to force Mancini's hand and overpay for a player they don't need. The dirty oil barons might try and avoid losing several points in pride by being outbid by their closest rivals; they have bought players for worse reasons tbf.. -

Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIFergies comment tonight will not help negotiations one bit. Would not underestimate Wenger's stubbornness, I wouldn't be surprised if he took a £5m hit and sold to Juve instead. Its not like Arsenal are desperate for money.(Original post by DaveSmith99)

Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIIt's not Wenger I would be concerned about, its your board. I think the chances of them letting him run his contract down and leave for free are very small, its a case of him either signing a new deal or him being sold. We are obviously the last club you want to sell to, but if its a choice of £20m or so from us this season, or nothing next season (which could happen), I think you will take the money.(Original post by Zürich)

Money means nothing to Man City so I doubt Fergie cares what they would pay. Surely driving up the price Arsenal would receive would be worse for Fergie. Think he genuinely wants RVP and is going public to try to force Arsenal's hand. Juve aren't exactly going to want to pay £20m whe they know Arsenal's position now... -
Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIBut if he doesn't want to go to Juve he doesn't have to. He can always join Man Utd the following season. He'll have to be at Arsenal for another year, but then Arsenal will lose him on a free. Arsenal will lose out more if that happens, when was the last time you made a loss on a transfer?(Original post by Zürich)

Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIJuve would offer us £15m surely and I think this is infinitely preferable to Utd. Wenger calls the shots when it comes to the crunch and I doubt RVP would fancy a year at Arsenal with the fans potentially on his back. He's be 30 when he left so I think RVP would take Juve over nothing...(Original post by DaveSmith99)

Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIExactly, it would be like shooting himself in the foot after all the great transfer deals we have done to strengthen and try to hopefully push on from last season.(Original post by Zürich)
Wenger has never sold a player to Ferguson and everybody knows that Wenger would sooner carry RVP to Turin than sell him to Utd.
It would be a new low in loyalty if this happened, and would make a mockery of the fans loyalty.
Now I mention loyalty and football in the same sentence it seems a little more possible it could happen, and a little more silly of me to mention it in the first place. -
Re: The Arsenal Thread XIIThat depends on whether or not RvP thinks that he will be held to his contract or not. Anyway in that situation it would be one season at Arsenal, or finishing his career at a club he doesn't really want to play for. You shouldn't forget that the Italian league is poorer quality and going through another corruption scandal which will see Juve's manager banned for a significant portion of next season.(Original post by Zürich)
