Anyone planning on commuting to Essex university?
I live in Romford and was planning on commuting to Essex due to family circumstances. I really like the university and don't want the travel to stop me from going there. Is anyone else planning on doing the same, nor is already? Does anyone know the cheapest railcards or is driving easier? And what about freshens week? Just general chat on anyone commuting

That's insane! I'm worried about an hour and a half journey! How are you going to manage that?

im joking but in all seriousness, there are different factors you should consider, for example are you going to miss out socially, university isnt just a learning institute, its a place in which you gain your Independence while still depending on your family, if your sure that your education wont be compromised then i see why not go for it

I'm commuting from London to Essex (so a little longer than you) and I've found it very doable the travel time for me is around an hour and half and the only downside is getting up at 5am for 9am lectures but yeah, it's definitely doable

I'm thinking of commuting from Southend to the Colchester institute. About a one and a half hour drive there and back, also due to some family reasons and partly due to the fact I hate the idea of living with a load of other people who probably get drunk all the time -.-
