Anyway to get money back from an ex?
I'm assuming this is a lost cause, but thought I'd ask anyway.
My ex-girlfriend lent £600 from me for her first car, and £200 for a puppy. At the time she agreed to pay it all back and used my trust/love to secure this money.
At the same time I bought her food everyday and drove her everywhere and never wanted any of this back.
Is there anything I can do? She's really ignorant now and I feel stupid. After cheating on me and getting with this new guy she says "I wouldn't want it back if it was me." which really makes me feel low, and guilty for asking for it back.
She's admitted on Facebook and by phone she owes it me, but I doubt this is good enough evidence.
What shall I do? I think about it everyday which obviously makes me think of her, it's like a constant mental torture.
Thanks. -
Re: Anyway to get money back from an ex?
Sounds like she's being unreasonable, and trying to guilt you into saying she doesn't owe you anything :/
£800 is a lot of money, you're quite right to ask for it back, but don't mention you buying her food or anything, just get what she agreed to pay. Good luck! -
Re: Anyway to get money back from an ex?
Sounds like she needs a slap

I'd try and arrange to meet her so you can make her discuss it, it's easy to continually avoid you through texting and inboxing on facebook, just be up front that you expected her to pay it back and the fact you're no longer in a relationship doesn't mean she's off the hook. -
Re: Anyway to get money back from an ex?
that's a lot of money to just forget about. I've had the same situation with a friend but it was that I was paying for cinema tickets, food etc. After a while I got annoyed and told her which she didn't like. We haven't spoken since and I never got my money back. I'm pretty annoyed as it was about £60 which to me is a lot, especially as I don't work. Just because you've split up doesn't mean she still doesn't owe you money.

Re: Anyway to get money back from an ex?I was just about to post Judge Judy.(Original post by TheGrinningSkull)
Judge Judy would give you that money back if she admits that she owes it to you.

No, you lent it. She borrowed it. She didn't "lend it from you" because that makes no sense.

You know trouble's going down when she brings up Bert to confirm her ideas. And especially when Bert's laughing XD haha. When he's laughing everyone just has to laugh XD. -
