Parent found a lighter in my pocket
basically i just got back from uni and my mum was sticking my washing in the machine. I was upstairs and my little sister came in and handed me the lighter, I'd forgotten it was in my hoodie. My mum is really anti-smoking and I don't really know what to say to her?

Say you went to a festival with some friends, and thought it would be appropriate to bring a lighter to raise.

Or say that offering a lighter to somebody greatly in need brings you happiness.

Say you tried it and didn't like it? You use it to light candles? Or you might just have to come clean and say you won't do it again

You use the lighter as an ice breaker in the smoking areas at uni?

Tell them that you use it to light your bunsen burner.

It's not unheard of for non-smokers to have lighters. I had one for a while which I carried around for the inevitable event when my smoker friends forget theirs. I actually used most of the fuel to light chinese lanterns

Say it's for heating up and dissolving your cocaine and heroin. Show her a teaspoon to make sure she knows.

She'll be okay with it. I saw on MumsNet that all mothers love it when their children do hard drugs.

Naught naughty, tch tch. Jk. You're 21, it's your choice whether you want to smoke or not, as long as your not smoking at your mums house or anywhere near her so that she won't get upset, it's your choice, your life, your health. Simples.

Say you normally empty out the fuel in the lighter into the petrol tank in your car, in order to beat the rising cost of fuel, but forgot to do that this time round :ninja:
