It shouldn't be happening but it could. There's a lot of quality in their current squad (enough for a top-ten side) as well as some promising young players. McLeish was an awful appointment...

deluded. You have a 40k stadium but only get 30k attendance per game and your away support is **** too, big club!

Yeah because we have two teams in our city - Villa and Blues.

You only have one team on the whole of Tyneside.

I think Villa will stay up by the skin of their teeth. If the season had a couple more games to go then they would be absolutely ****ed but at this stage 1 or 2 more points should be enough to see them safe. Keep in mind their goal difference is also vastly superior to all of their relegation rivals bar QPR. Look at the fixtures as well. Blackburn have Chelsea and Spurs away, QPR have City and Chelsea away. Chelsea may have their minds on other matters with 2 cup finals coming up, but i can't see either team picking up too many points from those games.

McLeish simply has to go in the summer though, or Villa will be my tip to go down next season.

I expect them to stay up, and I hope they do. Good club with a strong historical standing in the English game, and its a top away day at Villa Park.
