I've no wish for it to happen and indeed this season there was no-one at the start who I hoped went down from the Premiership. I do think it is a possibility though especially with the way some of the teams currently below them have played in recent weeks.

If it did happen, then it's more material for Jasper Carrott's act.

We have 52 thousand at every game and some of the best away supporters. THAT is a big club.

Does anyone know about Aston villa outside of England? Nope. They have both won 10 league titles each (Northern league,championship, 1st divison, 2nd division,3rd division all included)

Newcastle have a lot of fans but it isn't the only thing that makes a big club imo. You'd expect a lot of support in a one club city anyway.

Looking at purely fixtures:

Villa - WBA(A), Spurs(H), Norwich(A) and are on 36pts. 1 win or even a draw would see them safe due to having the best goal difference of the bottom 6. However, if they lose all 3, they're in trouble.

QPR beat Stoke at home next week to go to at least 37pts, Wigan beat Wolves at home on the last day to go to at least 37pts. They'll then have to rely on Bolton not picking up 5pts in their last 4 games - Sunderland(A), Spurs(H), WBA(H) and Stoke(A).

Wolves are already down and Blackburn 31pts - Spurs(A), Wigan(H), Chelsea(A) are down for me.
