    Paramedic course UWE Bristol
    Hi guys,

Im looking to apply for the paramedic science course at UWE in 2013 and was wondering what kind of A-levels people who were accepted this year did and what kind of grades they needed?

All the advice you could give would be amazing!!!!
    Thanks!

Seeing as no one else has answered I'll do my best ;p

I'm going in september '12 to do paramedics. I originally did AS levels and did ok in January exams but didn't do so great in my summer ones so ended up redoing the year moving to a 2 year BTEC sport course. (I got 3 interviews so they are clearly more interested in your personal statement, experiences and understanding if the job and not necessarily what you've studied, as long as you can say how studying that has helped you) I've got a conditional offer for only 240.

What I would advise is making sure you have lots of experience working with elderly folk and young people. Also look into working with those with learning disabilities etc, anything that shows patience, empathy and good communication skills will go down a treat. Order a prospectus from uwe.ac.uk to check next years entry requirements.

    Hope this helps.
