    Hi,
I have received 5 offers from my Universities to study Physics, i want to work in Banking really badly. these are my offers:

    Loughborough
    Surrey
    Liverpool
    Sussex
    Queen Mary

Surrey have a course "Physics with Finance" i thought banks would look favorably towards this and i would enjoy it more however i don't think its much of a target university. A friend of mine (1st year economics BSc at Queen Mary) secured an internship with RBS, and people say Loughborough get alot of people into T2 investment banks.

Please help "Physics with finance" at Surrey or pure Physics at Loughborough/Queen mary!!!!
I'm sorry but I'm not sure whether or not this has been already stated.
are you an undergraduate or graduate student?

oh, seems like you've made your choice already.
I can't find the list of course surrey offers for their Physics with finance option.
be careful and make sure that this program has enough physics in it to stand on its own.

a couple other things, you want to work in investment banking.
some of the jobs that you might be interested are: quantitative analyst/researcher (aka quant) or may be trader (but that i'm less sure of it) or even portfolio manager.

usually what one would do, is to pursue a maths Bsc or Physics Bsc (I went for Physics) and then shoot for a graduate degree in financial mathematics or financial engineering at a top school.

also I site like www.quanfinancejobs.com lists new jobs in the domain, be sur to check it out and look at the job requirements, it will give you an idea of the skills you need to have in this industry.

best of luck and hit me up in pm if you have more questions, I'll answer if I can.
