Call of Duty: Black Ops II
...has apparently been confirmed. Perhaps more exciting for those who play the story mode than those who play only multiplayer online. I know they're milking it for all it's worth and I know the series seem never ending but I am still excited to see what new guns / maps there will be as well as the changes they'll make to the interface perhaps.

Maybe I was alone in disliking the graphics as I prefer those in MW2/3 so I hope they're improved in Black Ops II.

I think instead of repeating the same useless *******s, they should expand on the zombie franchise that they could make from Call of Duty. Me and my friend prophesised that they could do the same sort of zombie concept but using famous movies i.e. The mall from Dawn of the Dead, the Winchester in Shaun of the dead, the city in Land of the Dead, Herschel's farm in Walking Dead.

And they could also make some of it story-based, be that co-operative missions or a fully fledged campaign mode. I'm not too happy about the prospect of another Black Ops campaign, the last one was just a shouty jumble of mess and predictability with the typical Russian enemy that will always be conquered by the Americans. If they're gonna milk the franchise ,they need a change of direction or they may as well just bring out more expansion packs. I suggest they reinvigorate COD4, maybe add in a spec ops option and some new maps etc.

I don't see the point in getting worked up about it now because the same thing happens every year.

6 months into the previous instalment: ' this game is so boring!'
Then information about the next game: 'YESS :woo: this game will be so much better than the last!'
More information: ' :argh: I can't wait! I really like the idea of xyz '
Game comes out: ' I told you guys, this will be the best call of duty yet :yep:'
    Christmas: 'Christmas noobs '
6 months into the next game: 'x y z is so overpowered and they'll never change it I'll go and play MW3 now because cod 4 and 5 are broken :sigh:'

    Rinse and repeat.

I don't necessarily think it'll be much better than the last, or that it will be the best yet so that's a little bit of a generalisation, albeit mostly accurate, on your part. - I still want to play it though and mainly enjoy playing when there's new maps which is why I am intrigued with this game, though I know after a while it'll get repetitive.

I didn't buy MW3 because I thought it'd get boring and frustrating. I'm more interested in seeing how they'll handle the game in regards to patches etc. Because MW2 could have been a lot better had they actually fixed things. Black ops fixed things but the connections made it unbearable a lot of the time. If in Black Ops 2 the connections are as good as those in MW games then it should be a game worth playing.

Hopefully zombies will be spoken about a bit more.

I don't think that's quite accurate seeing as they still top best selling games lists..

    i never said quickly

when producers/developers whatever they're called re-release the same game year after year when competitors make new breakthroughs and other games come to light, the series will not survive

I prefer black ops to modern warfare. I only start playing online once the story has been completed.

I would think we are all in agreement that the best thing about Black Ops is the zombie mode. And online multi player rocks as well.

    Like Left 4 Dead then?

I have to be honest, as someone who doesn't play Call of Duty much, the Zombie mode was the only thing I enjoyed in Black Ops. The only competitive multiplayer aspects I enjoyed in the CoD series were Modern Warfare 1 and 2. Aside from that, I've been largely indifferent to the series.

I like Call of Duty for its campaigns rather than the multiplayer tbh, but considering I'll only ever play half the game I'll wait until its half the price.

    They can't/won't be improved.
The consoles are being pushed to their limits and have been for years, and following the trend, CoD will be a cheap corss platform onto the PC and not have any graphics improvements.
I say hold onto your money and don't buy the game so the devs have to innovate and make something new rather than a probable clone

Wow, Black Ops was the last game I bought from CoD money printer. I'm finally put off. There's better alternatives for me. CoD in the day, which for me was COD4, was amazing but I'm moving on. I hope my kids will never buy a brand new CoD game.

Black Ops was the best in the series and then MW3 just took it all a massive step backwards, I'm cautiously optimistic about this one considering its the same team behind Black Ops. I hope they continue the story line they ended with last time as well as I enjoyed that as much as I did the World at War campaigns.

Cannot wait. I'm still buying it even if the graphics are horrendous. I just hope they sort out the lag issues that were present in Black Ops.
