You could try finding some of the lecture notes. It's worth a shot.

Your best bet would probably to just google the Course + university (and perhaps add another key word such as "review" or "blog" or "details").

Alternatively you could try to find someone who is going to that University and on that course. TSR may be a possibility, as may some other forums. Of course open days are a great opportunity. And if you emailed the University with a specific question I'm sure you could get an answer.
    Thanks guys, will try that!

Just found out we've sold our house. Moving to Sutton Coldfield from L/Spa. Gotta move school again. Went to the same school for 8 years, then my A-levels start and I leave 2 schools within 7 months. -_- For your school reference for UCAS, does it have to be your current school or can it be an old one?

    Ah that sucks -_-

Your current school writes your reference. However, I think it is fair to request your previous school to relay ideas and thoughts on you to your new school for the reference. Furthermore, your school should mention that you have had a disrupted year due to moving schools.

That's very unusual - the one that knows you most at A level I guess (try persuading your old school/current)...

    I'm not sure... :dontknow:

I'll try to get the first school I went to to write my reference, the school that I'm leaving aren't in my best books as I had many arguments with teachers due to entering me in wrong exams etc. I'll make a good first impression with my new school so they give me a good reference hopefully. The only problem is that my dad owes £9k to my first school :L (well once we sell our house he'll pay it back).
    Cheers for the advice peoples

They are not allowed to put anything bad so it's all good.

(you also have an excuse now if you do badly in exams)

I'm already thinking up of excuses, think I've done horrible. I missed a whole term cause my old private school wouldn't let me come back cause we owed them money and it took ages to find a school to take me in. My exams were all essay based so prayin I blagged it X_X

The date at which you send your application makes no difference as long as it's before the deadline. Most universities don't even look at applications before this deadline.

Speak to your head of year, get your parents involved as well.
You're quite wrong there. The number of responses that people in my year got before the January 15th deadline exceeded the number of responses given after.

Whilst I'd try to get it in early. It can't decrease your chances.

It might be however that those who get it in early are on the whole going to be more proactive and more attractive as a candidate. There may be many explanations.

But I do agree with you.

Well, I wasn't stating that applying earlier increasing your chances, just simply showing that universities do look at applications before the deadline.

Then you are still wrong. :ahee:

I had an offer before that deadline, and I know quite a few people who had responses.

The best stance to take is that the earlier you send it, the better.

I know it's not supposed to make any difference when you send it in, but my school has a policy of getting them all in as early as possible.

You really aren't getting this are you? Even after chicken's explanation of why your attitude isn't ideal? :hmmm: Also, we all countered your answers if you read our posts concerning them... No it doesn't...

I am actually getting really irritated now.

This was posted from The Student Room's Android App on my GT-I9100
Haha chill out ML, whats with this attitude I was only joking! I watched the QI episode on hypothetical questions, they can't have a right answer

I think all of you year 12's forgot that not everything I say is serious, but I guess you can't see tone on the internet. :gah:
