Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VIthe only things truely in my favour were my PS, and my reference.(Original post by chignesh10)
You were a keen chemist maybe?! -
Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VII've been to see the Dark Knight Rising or whatever rubbish it was(Original post by silentlife)
So what are people doing? It seems very quiet today.
Unlike the other thread for people one year younger than us
It's not my kind of film.

Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VII saw The Amazing Spider Man...(Original post by wcp100)
I've been to see the Dark Knight Rising or whatever rubbish it was
It's not my kind of film.
Edit: My friend was trying to convince me it was good, but personally I couldn't tell because I don't have any "good" films to compare to. OK Inception was good, but I haven't watch many other good films recently.Last edited by silentlife; 20-07-2012 at 21:57. -
Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VII'm going to see it on Monday(Original post by wcp100)

I'm horrendous at judging films, I like everything basically since I like to know the stories(Original post by silentlife)

Although I do know that Plan 9 From Outer Space is not good. At all. -
Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VIThe Woman in Black was ok, but that's the only decent film I've seen in the cinema in ages!(Original post by silentlife)

Apart from Avengers; I love comic book movies.

Your dragon gym will have some serious problems against ice especially your Dragonite and maybe Salamence, think Mamoswine, Starmie, Abomasnow...(Original post by Arva)
Oh you're in it too? Awesome!
I'm the coolest gym leader which means all I can use is dragon types, but I've managed to put together a pretty epic team because dragons are awesome and I'm awesome. So much awesome.

I must be quite sad to still know all of this.Last edited by silentlife; 20-07-2012 at 22:17. -
Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VIYou'd be surprised at how easily my team can deal with those three. Mamoswine's the hardest but I have several counters that nobody seems to see coming. Cloyster's the main nightmare for my team - that thing's a bloody monster.(Original post by silentlife)

Besides, most challengers will only have one ice pokemon, maybe two or three if they're a hail based team. A lot of the time my team can handle it. Salamence is a beast, and he gets stronger with each one he kills so if he gets momentum it's sweeping time. Dragonite is tough enough to resist one super effective attack from a dangerous enemy, and that gives him time to use dragon dance, so he outspeeds and overpowers the threat mostly.
Unless it's a Weavile. That guy's not very nice.

Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VIWhat about some serious steel such as scizor...(Original post by Arva)

That multiscale is quite annoying though.Last edited by silentlife; 20-07-2012 at 22:26. -
Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VII demolish Scizor - 4 times weakness to fire? That's not slipping by me.(Original post by silentlife)

Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VIDon't get me wrong, anyone could build a team to defeat mine. However everyone has to balance their team to fare as well as possible against every gym leader, so at worst they should have 2 pokemon with very dangerous type coverage against mine. This I can usually take care of.(Original post by silentlife)
Seems like when I've got time, I'll have to build a team to prove you wrong.

Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VIYou should probably prepare a porygon2 counter (as weird as that sounds) in case a user from Smogon decides to participate. I suppose the monotype restriction helps though. Terrakion and Cresselia could also be a pain, especially Terrakion as I can't really think of a dragon that could safely take it out.(Original post by Arva)

I can't remember what team won the last Smogon monotype tournament, I'm pretty sure it wasn't Dragon though.
I probably sound like a huge nerd now.... -
Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VISorry if I sounded that way - but I meant that I will build a team that will beat all gym leaders.(Original post by Arva)

Hopefully a subpunch Breloom will come in handy. No sleeptalk/gliscor there.
Edit: just read you've now got a Gyarados on your team. I've had bad experiences of using Gyarados in the past due to electric types.Last edited by silentlife; 20-07-2012 at 22:44. -
Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VIGood luck, I need to do that too. I'm perfecting my gym team at the moment though, so not quite yet.(Original post by silentlife)

I LOVE Breloom! I used to use a spore and focus punch one, with poison heal and a toxic orb. So powerful.
I probably won't use the Gyarados much, but I prefer it to Aerodactyl and I'm considering turning it into a sleeptalking wall for teh lulz and the element of surprise. -
Re: Current Year 12 Thread Mark VIThanks, but I already made a porygon 2 counter after several destroyed me with Ice Beam. ((Original post by Yawë)

). And with both Latios and Latias on my team Terrakion's no problem. I have another secret that takes care of things like Cresselia too.
I'm glad someone else is slightly poke-nerdish!
