As you can see other people keep their computer or laptop on for long periods of time but it doesn't mean that I was on it all the time.

Definitely does not mean that I have been on there for that long, unless of course I have turned into a zombie as a result of being subjected to suicidal amounts of binary code. -

Notable non-standard background task: Snagit, PeerBlock, Comodo, RainMeter, MSE, TuneUp...
Most intensive I get will be Chrome/PS or Chrome/VLC at any one time. -

I'm usually a minimalist, I just have what I need open. Although I tend to leave programs open longer than I need them on my desktop because that thing isn't going to slow down for nothing, however my laptop is a different story. -

Just realised that it says 'esource Monitor' because of the visual style I've got. Ah well.
If I'm working, IE might be open (I use Stay Focusd on Nuclear mode, and I hate IE so I'll only use it for the essential stuff). I'll probably have Excel ready, or Autograph. -

Re: How many programs do you normally run?A friend of mine who plays it a lot said that they increased the req specs quite a lot when it became really popular. I reckon that'll be why.(Original post by danny111)
That's funny, my old laptop coudn't do TF2 either.
Good thing I didn't pay for it though! In fact, I didn't pay for Portal either - got it gifted when another friend bought Portal 2

I turn off my laptop whenever I'm not using it for 30mins or more, by the sounds of it you're wasting alot of electricity. -
