Re: The Commons Bar Mk VII am well aware of what boxing is, I am not aiming for it to be like street fights, I in actual fact despise street fights as you don't know what you are getting into... especially if you are drunk. I prefer boxing, I have done it before and I can do it again(Original post by paddy__power)
Yes but boxing is nothing like street fight and thus does not fulfill the role you said you want it to...?
I have considered MMA as much for fitness as anything else but while I'm a big guy and can handle myself I would get annihilated by proper heavyweight fighters.

I'm a boxing fan and a fan of MMA - in fact I like watching almost any combat sport. -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk VII personally love every sport that brings out pain and blood from people... hence why I prefer the KHL to the NHL for instance, the KHL has more fights that are harder than the NHL (at least that is how I feel about it).(Original post by paddy__power)
Fair enough

There is just something about blood and pain that I enjoy... that said, I prefer that it is in a regulated environment so no one dies, I don't want to kill someone and I don't want someone to kill me. -

I'm going to see Boxing at the Olympics.
For me it's Tai Kwon Do, and I've just had confirmation that I have tickets for Paralympic Judo and basketball.Last edited by thunder_chunky; 18-07-2012 at 08:24. -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk VInah, keep wales. We've had for a thousand odd years, we get attached to things(Original post by tehFrance)
To be honest, I don't see the need for the union just like I don't see the need for Corsica to be part of France.
Let Scotland go, kick Wales out and make Ireland united with those that are anti-Irish union coming to live here. England can be a great power once more
And technically its a part of the Kingdom of England, assuming you'd go back to the pre-union borders
-

For those that are interested, my column in the 'Ad Hoc' is called 'The Drunken Drug-addled Ramble's of tehFrance!'

I just don't like Wales so I wouldn't want Wales in any form of union that I am in(Original post by Moleman1996)

Most Welsh people are against sovereignty for 3 million poor Europeans (i.e. us). In practical terms it couldn't work but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't be a full federal partner. Newfoundland is a poor part of Canada yet it has the same rights as Ontario or Alberta which are wealthy. Give and take.

Yay, I finally passed my driving test.
And all UK driving licenses are interchangeable with Ontario driving licenses.. My plan is falling into place. >

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VIWe use them as farmers and rebuild offa's dyke, problem solved(Original post by tehFrance)
If I were to do that, I'd have to remove the people... truth be told, the welsh get on my nerves... especially the one I met on a night out that I now see everywhere
Just send a lorry in every now and again to pick up the stuff.

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VIIn principal i do agree with federalism however in practice i see the Welsh government wasting resources on teaching children to speak a language that is unlikely to be spoken outside a 100 mile radius whilst the number of people speaking Spanish and French far exceeds that of Wales. Because of this, i now only support devolution of taxation and infrastructure (transport and energy), the important things should be left to the wise Westminster government.(Original post by obi_adorno_kenobi)
