Re: The Commons Bar Mk VINot enough privatisation, not enough tax cuts and not enough minimising of the state.(Original post by Thunder and Jazz)
Stepping away from partisan affiliation for a moment, looking at the Queen's Speech from a neutral perspective, am I the only one who thinks it's a bit crap? It doesn't fulfil any of the objectives you would want it to politically.
That said, it was a Tory speech even if a bit wet. -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk VIYou can say this till you're blue in the face but people know fully well that it means not enough unemployment, not enough benefits for the rich, and not enough asset stripping for our wealthy mates. It's time the Right got a new message, your record is scratched to pieces.(Original post by Rakas21)

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VIActually my favoured income tax for example would be something along a tax threshold of £24k with a flat tax rate of 40% above that (the abolition of national insurance is why it is high), i also favour a land value tax so that we can rid ourselves of many of the taxes which act as a barrier to entry for business or a barrier to consumption for the people. Hardly benefiting the rich solely.(Original post by obi_adorno_kenobi)
