Explain?Mostly the pent up orgasm of AS level constitutional arguments that most people go in to when the subject is brought up. Not that I'm implying you guys have been doing that, I was referring to the general idea.(Original post by JPKC)
Wut.
The inference being that you find it less amusing than hereditary constitutional powers and political inequality? -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk VIAre you for or against the monarch may I ask?(Original post by Thunder and Jazz)

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VII could not give less of a **** since it makes near literally no odds to anyone at all. Therefore, since I don't see that it is necessary to spend time, effort and most importantly money replacing the monarchy, I am for the purposes of this campaign a monarchist. However, were we asking whether to abolish a presidency of exactly the same power and expense with a monarch I would be anti monarchy.(Original post by davidmarsh01)
Are you for or against the monarch may I ask? -

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VI
If you measure Socialists and Respect as +3, Labour and Green as +2, Lib Dems as +1, UKIP as -1, Conservative as -2, Libertarian, BNP, and Patriotic Conservative as -3, to represent left to right, then JPKC joining the Socialists has made this Parliament the most left/right polarised of all time, with the largest divide between the two sides.

I personally don't have too big an issue with "my ways", and I'm certainly not going to stop swashbuckling if that's what you mean.(Original post by RoryS)
I hope he changes his ways then... -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk VI
Why is it that everyone seems to talk about Growth vs Austerity, as if they're opposite ends of a spectrum? The only "growth" that comes from borrowing more and more money to spend (usually in an woefully inefficient manner) is a growth in debt payments. Incidentally, right now, every 9 hours the UK pays £50m in debt interest. Interest. JUST the interest. That's the lifetime contribution in tax of approximately 200 people every 9 hours, on literally nothing. Anyone who thinks that keeping the debt up will stoke growth is a ****ing lunatic.
