Re: Standard Grade Physics paper 2012!All will be revealed!(Original post by anthonyfl)
Pass marks will definitely be lowered! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the results anyway! :/
we'll do good hopefully, we did our best, at least we can say that..
Are you signing up for mysqa, texts? -
Re: Standard Grade Physics paper 2012!
Does everyone genuinely think it was a lot harder or did we all just get hit with the exam panic and over-think more than we do when sitting Past Papers?
Also, you know for the distance of the Speed/Time graph, did you just find the area of the rectangle and the area of the triangle and add them together? -
Re: Standard Grade Physics paper 2012!What was the question again?(Original post by Jonathan5)
What did anyone put for the question about the falling tile? -

I usually suffer anxiety and blah blah in exams so I dont know.
For the distance one, yeah i did that.

Re: Standard Grade Physics paper 2012!Yeah I did that and got 1035m but wasn't sure if that was right and the question was calculate the final speed of the falling tile(Original post by nerd434)

Re: Standard Grade Physics paper 2012!I think i used ek=eop, then 1/2mv^2.(Original post by Jonathan5)

Cant mind though.

Re: Standard Grade Physics paper 2012!Think it was the one about the objective lens about it being brighter?(Original post by humza100)
i thought it was quite hard, and is is bad that i cant remember a telescope question at all!
Cant mind. -
Re: Standard Grade Physics paper 2012!Yeah.(Original post by nerd434)
Yeah that's what you do, because it asked you to calculate the Potential Energy before it. Then you use Energy Conversion, where Ep = Ek.
I just didn't know how to rearrange to find V² which drove me insane.
I originally multiplies the e by two but it didnt look right, then did it again and divided the mass by two which go trid of the fraction?

Re: Standard Grade Physics paper 2012!e=pt here, looked right at the time..(Original post by nerd434)
What did people put for the question on the iron where it asked you to find the electrical energy?
I did E = P x T, what about everyone else? -
Re: Standard Grade Physics paper 2012!Was it not brighter(Original post by jamieguitar101)
for the one about different telescopic lens sizes i put, large one would give clearer image, is that correct???
