I came across this degree at Abertay University http://www.abertay.ac.uk/studying/find/ug/sp/

Does anybody know of a similar degree at a more reputable university?

Heya, I don't know many, but I just had a quick look and found:

BSc Sport Science with Psychology at Bangor
    BSc Sport Psychology at Coventry
BSc Psychology with Sport and Exercise Science
    BSc Sport Psychology at Glamorgan

These are all accredited by the BPS, which is the most important thing to look for if your friend wants to go into Sport Psychology.

The other option is to do a straight Psychology degree and get extra experience to add to an application for the MSc in Sport Psychology. E.g.

    - For sport psychology, experience in a range of sport situations, e.g. placements with sports teams, organisations or individuals
    - Or for exercise contexts, placements/work/experience with fitness clubs, referral schemes, leisure centres, NHS, individuals etc.
