Re: There is a burglar in your house: What would you do?I know it's not very nice but I'd knock them out, tie them up with duct tape and then interrogate them, unless they hadn't seen me/were armed, in which case I'd quietly call the feds
Btw cricket/baseball bats are useless in confined spaces.. what you want is a field

I would probably dress up as a burglar (assuming they have a burglar esque atire); carry a tv. When the burglar can see you, it looks as if you're stealing from the house.

The reality of it is, if I were in bed at night and heard a noise downstairs and realised people had broken in, I would feel petrified and afraid to move, I'm supposed to feel safe in my house, and I'm not. I think after that I'd probably either just try and avoid the confrontation, stay upstairs and hope they leave, or adrenaline would kick in and I'd realise some scumbags were inside MY house and I'd go and confront them, but they'd probably be just as scared to see me so by the time I've got downstairs, they've already heard me, panicked and before I have a chance to do anything, they would be gone. -

Re: There is a burglar in your house: What would you do?Some of your options are just plain stoopid. Then there's plenty of other sensible options you haven't included or even given an 'other' option for.
You haven't really given a scenario. The situation would completely change what you do;
- If it's light/ dark
- if you're alone
- how fit you are/ how strong the burglar looks
- if you see them coming up the drive/ if you first hear them breaking in
- what room you're in
- if you have a phone on you
