hi guys, I have been set to do a plan for an essay title going to practice in class this week..
The question : 'The importance of membranes both those surrounding the cell and those inside it'
bearing in mind its 25 marks, what do you guys reckon the most subtopics to talk about are?
have you done the essay yet?
Some extra ideas:
- all the different types of diffusion (eg. active transport) + osmosis (cholera)
- action potentials + muscle contraction
- Nuclear membrane (DNA protected in nucleus) + how mRNA exits through nuclear pores into the cytoplasm
- hormones (eg. Oestrogen/ insulin) + receptors
- cystic fibrosis
