i was planning on doing the same .. except i have a lot of stuff to review... had no teacher for the 2nd semester of my junior year.. therefore we ended up doing like 8 months of stuff in one semester during our senior.. which also involved in us teaching ourselves...
    what options are u doing?
    Our options are really bad..
We are doing B and G
damn that just sucks.. hope it didn't affect u so badly.. :/ im doing options B too which is very easy thanks to bio HL.. but isntead of G i do F (food chem) which is pretty easy.. the teacher chose them to make sure we didnt lose a lot of marks in paper 3..
btw do u have the past papers and all to study from? cz it seems like practice is essential especially for paper 1 cz they always try to trick u

This year IB seems to be caming up with some unconventional questions, especially psychology paper 1 why one earth would you ask about cognitive research and ethics. In conclusion it was a lousy paper, however papers 2 and 3 made up for it. Now I am worrying that they will come up with some unusual questions this year in Chemistry HL, so worried. Need to study hard - not going to allow chemistry to drown my hopes =].

no teacher for a semester:eek: wow it must be so hard for all of you to revise... well if I were you I think i would start with what I find most difficult to understand if you need the textbook use it if you don't just go with the oxford revision guide.(I did this for organic chem) Then just read the oxford revision guide for each topic. I have spent 30 mins - 1 hour for the first topics which are easy and for the rest max. 2 hours

After that you can try past papers and if you find areas which you are weak and get them wrong in the past papers go back and try to understand your mistakes.
i know shocking right.... well we did have a different teacher for a semester. but he wasn't an IB teacher so didn't really know what he was doing.... yea I'm gonna try and do what you said.. probably makes more sense.. the only thing that i find difficult:
    1. acid and bases calculations
    2. organics mechanisms

For organic chem, I think you can survive with memorizing them I wrote down all the mechanisms and the catalysts and memorized them.
acids and bases.. I feel your pain so can't really help with that I can't even help myself lol

not as easy as B, but its abt food and like food groups and fats and oils, and rancidity and oxidation, antioxidants, pigments, etc.. not difficult but not as easy as option B

acids and bases isn't too bad I guess. It's mainly calculations/maths which I enjoy. However, memorising the titration curve shapes and equivalence points are good.

My paper 3 options I need to seriously go over though. Human biochem and further organic. Also have to briefly consolidate my organic knowledge. Urghhh.

My paper three options are Human Biochemistry and Medicines and Drugs, both of which I really enjoy (though I haven't entirely finished teaching myself the HL medicines and drugs yet due to illness and revising for other subjects )!

Human biochem's more about memorisation than anything. Although, i can't seem to find enough time. The IB is tough.

This is urgent if anyone can help me please if you take bio SL

I'm choosing my options now (too late I know but had no teacher)- and want the easiest ones because I don't have much time to learn a lot of new stuff

    so shall I do A/B/G?

and if anyone has any notes it will be really useful thanks a lot

A/B are the easiest. I'm HL, but the SL peeps do AB, just look at them in Leaf (the green Oxford Study Guide) they are sooo easy.

I was HL too but dropped before mocks yeah I've decided on A but can't find any notes anywhere on B so might have to go for G instead :/
I don't have that textbook I only have one where the options are on the CD and the school takes the CDs -_-

Gosh further organics good luck studying.. mine are biochem and medicines and drugs. I'm ok with them I think

Guys I just woke up with a sore throat at 4.30 am I drank 2 huge cups of hot tea and I'm taking medicine.. basically half of my school is sick due to the weather. Well if my mum figures out she is going to freak out she is more nervous than I am Since I'm awake its time for chemistry:cool:

Possibly have the two easiest options for HL Chem... Food and Environmental! just a lot to learn which is annoying! Anyone else actually strangely looking forward to the chemistry exam?
