Re: LJMU Freshers WeekNot a clue but I will see you there(Original post by DThomas)
Anyone know when freshers week is and if its just JMU on its own or do they mix with university of liverpool ....?

Re: LJMU Freshers WeekOh okayy thanks !(Original post by Irrelevance)
Each of the three Liverpool universities have their own nights at the same venues (Edge Hill being the exception). Unless things have changed you're welcome to go to other university nights as they all fall under the same student union. -

Although most Fresher's Week Events (nights out) will be held in clubs in town so they're likely to be in some of the same venues.
OP it depends which uni you go to they start at different times.. and LJMU seems to change its starting date every year. -
Re: LJMU Freshers Week
Freshers for LJMU would be their "Welcome Week" right? Which is the 17-25th of Sep... Is it possible that the Pharmacy course starts before freshers D:! For some reason UCAS is telling me the course starts on the 1st?!? I don't know wether to be happy or utterly depressed about this news :L

Re: LJMU Freshers WeekYeah it's Welcome Week(Original post by Chantelle.)

I don't think the course would start before Freshers... when I was applying for uni it said all my courses started on the 1st September on my UCAS form. But I think that just means it starts in September. The courses usually start after Welcome Week, so the first week of Welcome Week is Week 1, second week is week 2 which enrolment is in and third week is week 3 which is the first week of lectures. At least that's how it's been for the last two years

Re: LJMU Freshers WeekI think I follow, I will be annoyed if werr learning Pharmacy stuff before Fresher. Pretty sure the alcohol will make me forget whatever we learn(Original post by BabyGirl92)

Re: LJMU Freshers WeekYou're right, yeah(Original post by BabyGirl92)
LJMU, University of Liverpool and Liverpool Hope all have separate Students' Unions...
They have separate unions representing the universities however the ones between LJMU and UoL are in partnership.
You'll be alright(Original post by Chantelle.)

Generally labs and lectures start in the second week. As mentioned it might be subject to change and the Freshers 'week' is ususally spread out over two weeks anyway in Liverpool. The Pharmacy lecturers are quite sympathetic towards people enjoying themselves, just so you know

Re: LJMU Freshers WeekOh didn't know they were in partnership.. I work for the LJMU Students Union and never hear anything about Uni of Liverpool's one. I think Uni of Liverpool's One is a lot better by the sounds of things.. got a much better venue and better events! But LJMU's is moving to a new venue in a few years so it should be much better by then just a shame I won't still be a student here to see it! Maybe I'll do a phd so i can stay lol :P(Original post by Irrelevance)
