    Most 'preferred' religion or belief
All I ever see on TSR is people hating on every other religion or belief, i just wanted to know what religion/belief people actually like?!

(And yes every religion/belief deserves respect and none of them are better than each other, i just wanted to know whichs one people like more, thats all)

You should be able to choose multiple options, I have no problems whatsoever with about half of that list.

Re: Most 'preferred' religion or belief
I started a thread like this (about which is the msot peaceful religion), with good intentions but it still descended into chaos . . . and negs

But doesn't this just basically ask, what is your religion? Plus On my thread I said religion/ belief to include atheism then I got shouted at for calling atheism a belief! Cos apparantly the belief that there is no god is different to a lack of a belief in a god :unimpressed:

The general consensus was that thinks like jainism and buddhism preach the most peaceful messages and probably have the nicest people overall. Having said that, there are people from every religion that are good people. There's just a few extremists or tyrannts that use said religion as an excuse to do bad things. Especially when the media hype it up, the publics view of the whole religion goes down and all of it's people are viewed as being terrorists.

Though I am not budhist, their beliefs just seem so peaceful and make some sense.

They also fit in with my own conceptions of life and mortality/immortality

Two highest options will be atheism and Islam, I guarantee. I'd say the majority of TSRians are non-religious, and there's also this weird group of devout Muslims who unrelentingly preach their religion and neg anyone who dares disagree. Just telling it how it is.

People will vote for their own personal beliefs.

No, not all beliefs are equal to others. Some have far more evidence than others.

Finally, as an atheist, I have a problem with all of those religions apart from Buddhism and Jainism (because I don't know what it is!).

I like people of every religion. We're all one and the same, are we not?

You know, people will just vote or their own religion, so your results will be far from accurate

It's a montheistic religion which prescribes a set of morals and values, and makes claims contrary to science and evidence. The same issue I have with every religion really. There's not 1 specific example of why sikhism is worse than any other, it just shares many of the same pitfalls.

Im an athiest, but i'm pretty sure that sikhism and hinduism among others are not contrary to science and evidence, in fact they encourage it (as in expanding knowledge of the world)

Would agnosticism count as other? Because it's not really religious nor atheist

Arguing for the existence of an interventionist God. Simple as that.

Deism is a pretty sound and rational belief system.
