HELP! Investment Banking help please :)
I really need some help!
I am an A-Level student studying History, Politics and Photography; predicted BBC. Investment banking is something new to me personally but not to my family which is pretty well connected. I have decided that this is the career path I want to follow.
I have done vast amounts of work experience at Sheffield Haworth, FT and Wells Tobias recruitment.
I have not applied to University this year as I want to take two years off, which i plan to travel South America and Asia. Also in my time off I plan to do more work experience for some investment banks to get networking.
What Unis are best for my grades and what sort of course is best?
Does anyone know of any school schemes run by investment banks other than the JP Morgan one?
Thanks in advance! -
Re: HELP! Investment Banking help please :)
IBs generally love applicants with Politics and Photography A levels and with BBC I think you have a great shot at IB, especially when you include your unrelated work experience.
You should be aiming for the Targets, Cambridge, LSE, UCL. Preferably with an Econ/Stats/Maths/Quantative degree.
Good luck -
Re: HELP! Investment Banking help please :)Realistically, IB is about as competitive as it gets. You don't have strong A-Levels and you won't get on a strong degree course, so I doubt your chances very much (honestly). You'd need some obscene work experience / extra curricular's to stand any chance.(Original post by helpme94)

Perhaps consider another career path?
