Why has nobody mentioned Black Sabbath yet?

Anyway, I vote Napalm Death. Simply for being the best band ever to exist.
Came into thread to say black sabbath.

    Manic Street Preachers.

I like loads of UK bands:

    The Beatles
    The Who
    The Rolling Stones
    Queen
    Oasis
    Blur
    Led Zeppelin
    Pink Floyd
    The Stone Roses
    Tears for Fears

and that's just off top of my head

My favourite british band after much consideration is the Cocteau Twins, very under appreciated, created some of the most eye wateringly gorgeous music you are ever likely to hear (post punk/gothic rock/dream pop). The delicacy and emotional power in the music blows away stuff like Oasis in my eyes.

The Cure and The Smiths are up there as well as the usual suspects (Beatles, Stones, Radiohead).

Also Suede are worthy of mention, almost everything they put on tape from 92-96 was solid gold and many of the b sides and album tracks outshine their more well known singles.

Well... at the moment. On another day you'd have got Motorhead.
One of the greatest bands ever.

    Also, Sylosis.

I've seen them 5 times now, but that's nothing compared to my friend who's seen them 30-odd times.

Last time I saw them, Eva started talking to me because I was wearing a Night of the Living Thread t-shirt.
