A newest list of target schools for IB
Can any one give me a newest list of target schools for IB ?

I found one in TSR, but it is in 2007. So it seems a little old..

    Thanks ~

    It's probably the same.

If not narrower just because there are fewer places than there were back then. And of those remaining, more go to people studying on the continent.

Don't think so. Definitely seeing more representation from universities traditionally deemed as 'non targets'.

Really? Thought most of those there were traditionally fairly target. You've got to remember than course / university is not everything. WE is incredibly important even for SWs.

Sorry, WE? And yes they are, but there's a misconception on this forum that its top 5 or bust, which discourages people who would probably have a decent shot.

I don't think they'd have a decent shot if thats enough to discourage them

Work experience. Not top 5, but no matter what university you attend, you have to have done something a bit different I would say.

Spring weeks are substantially less competitive than the final cut of the analyst class.

I see a few facebooks (in the traditional sense of what they are) and think the broad picture is the same.

Hijacking the thread a little here. A friend of mine just did a SW at Citi and is at UCL. She told me that in some ways IB is easier to get into from the London unis because you can go to a lot of networking events ahead of interviews, and get to know the HR staff etc.

If this is the case, would LSE/Imp/UCL be better than Oxbridge for getting into IB because of the opportunities to attend more events?

To an extent, yes, esp LSE.

You get those same networking events being held at Oxford and Cambridge as well. Additionally, you have less people attending since not everyone in Oxbridge is dead set on the financial world as would be the case with LSE.
