    Wearing flats to prom
So I've found a long prom dress that I am in love with. I'm 5'8 and a size 8 so without shoes the dress comes to just touch the floor. Should I just wear flats as it will be more comfy to dance and it isn't really noticeable or should I find a different dress? I really love the dress though. Is wearing flats to prom weird?

If you think guys care about heels, trust me they don't. Unless they have a weird foot/heel fetish. Many would hate it, cos 4 inch heels (for example) would make you 6 foot which would be pretty awkward, even for the tall guys. The only people who perhaps care are girls who you're trying to compete with and make jealous.

    So just wear flats.

Wearing flats means you can dance and walk without looking like a newborn giraffe.

    Enjoy the comfort.

I'll never understand why women feel its necessary to make themselves uncomfortable by wearing heels.

if you're that tall you'd probably look better in flats anyway!
otherwise you stoop to talk to friends and look silly in photos cause you're head's cut off!

Wear whatever you're comfortable in. I personally think heels are nicer (and I find them more comfortable) but if you want to wear flats then wear them. Why care what anyone else thinks?

Mmmm I wore flats to my prom, albeit with a knee length dress, but wish I hadn't, I would recommend wearing heels, maybe not really high ones but a comfier style than stillettos! There are loads of not-too-high heels in new look. It looks better in photos and things, and you can always take them off when dancing? Loads of my friends did that!

I wore flats to prom in a floor length dress Was miles comfier and you couldn't really see them anyway to be honest most of the time. I was the only one who did so if it would bother you to be in the minority then don't but I don't see the big deal tbh

I wore flats to prom but with a short dress, only because I couldn't walk in heels.

I don't think it's the end of the world if you wear flats! But you could consider quite small heels, just so your dress isn't so close to the floor? I'm doing that, although that's mainly because I'm wearing a short dress and I look pretty squat without that extra bit of height

I wore gladiator sandals to my prom under my dress (Never been a fan of high heels personally). Just wear whatever you're comfortable in

You can definitely wear flats, it's not like anyone will see what's under your dress anyway.

Well.. Wedges are ****ing stupid. They make women look fauns.

I don't see the problem with 'flats' though. Better than stumbling around like an idiot.
