Re: Wearing flats to prom
OP, just go for flats! As you say, you're gonna be wearing a long dress so your shoes won't really be seen anyway and you'll end the night without painful feet

I'll be wearing flats to my Summer Ball at uni with a knee-length dress. I know it's gonna be a messy night so I don't wanna be stumbling around, attempting to walk in big heels at the end of the night :P -
Re: Wearing flats to prom
I'm 5ft 2 and wore flats to my prom and continue to do so when I'm out clubbing. Still cannot walk in heels. I've never really tried other than in shoe shops and my crapness at walking in them never really justified buying the shoe. No one cares what shoes you're wearing. When you wear flats girls in heels tend to remark at the end of the night how jealous they are of you cos their feet are in agony and you're still dancing like it was the beginning of the night. Enjoy your prom and wear flats!

Re: Wearing flats to prom
I wore flats to prom. I have never worn any kind of heel. I felt a bit weird at first because people were wearing super high heels and they were super pretty, but by the end of the evening I was *so* glad. When the music stopped and they were waiting to be picked up, they just sat there and cried because of the pain in their feet. One girl had pulled the tendon her foot and everyone was hobbling around. I was the only one not in agony and nobody even noticed I was wearing flats in my short dress. (I'm 5'9)

Re: Wearing flats to prom
I wore gladiators to my prom, had a long dress that just touched the floor, no one noticed except my friends who knew and they were just jealous because at the end I could still walk fine and they couldn't. Don't worry about it, any way they should be looking at your dress not your feet!

Re: Wearing flats to prom
I wore flats to the prom and I'm glad I did because by the end of the night I was literally the only girl with shoes on lol. I danced all night and had a great time
All the other girls had bad blisters on their feet and whatnot. I'm 5foot 7 which isn't considered that tall I suppose, but hey I'd rather have comfort than feet with very painful blisters the next day

Re: Wearing flats to promTotally agree :-)(Original post by I<3LAMP)
Wearing flats means you can dance and walk without looking like a newborn giraffe.
Enjoy the comfort.

Re: Wearing flats to prom
I wish I could wear flats! If I didn't wear heels then I'd be a lot smaller compared to my other friends and my dress would be way too long. I'm 5'6 and wearing four inch heels, so it's not going to make me crazily tall.
There's nothing weird about wearing flats to prom, I'll probably end up taking mine off. -
Re: Wearing flats to prom
If you somehow for some reason choose to wear heels, make sure that theyre the PERFECT size for your feet, the only reason you get blisters with heels is because theyre either too big for you or too small. OH and walk around the house with them on so you can get comfortable with them before going to prom. New shoes are always a pain! >.<
OR you can wear flats, but just to make it look elegant why don't you buy like 2-inch heels which won't be as painful but will also give you that feminine touch.
Up to you and your comfort!

who cares what anyone thinks
) so I think flats will be fine.
