itunes problem?

itunes problem?Ok so every time i open it, it doesn't let me click anything it just comes up with a popup saying..
''Itunes has stopped working
Windows is checking for a solution to the problem''
and it searches for a minute or so then just says a problem causes the program to stop working correctly windows will notify you if a solution is available. Then itunes just closes itself.
Ive downloaded the new version of itunes and quicktime but it made no diffrence. any help appreciated!!!
