It was a racist "joke", that was my point! -
Re: If you had £1000 and were 16 what would you buy?Anyway, no time to discuss about it, but you should really respect a country that has contributed so much to the world, and every single country of course.(Original post by geetar)

Re: If you had £1000 and were 16 what would you buy? That's a ridiculous argument. Commenting negatively on an aspect of a country does not mean you are disrespecting it. If I say that Britain has bad weather, I'm not disrespecting it. If I say that Italy has bad television, I'm not disrespecting it. If I say that Greece is in financial difficulties, I'm not disrespecting it.(Original post by alexkol)

And more to the point, why should I temper my comments just because of what happened in the past. In the early middle ages, Iran was one of the greatest centres of science and learning. The world owes a lot to Iran. But it is ridiculous to suggest that we shouldn't criticise aspects of modern day Iran just because it used to be different. Greece gave us democracy, and that heritage should be respected. But that doesn't even have anything to do with the what I was talking about, which is the current sovereign debt crisis. -
Re: If you had £1000 and were 16 what would you buy?Take a joke, bro. It was funny and was in no way racist. "Greek" is not a race.(Original post by alexkol)

Well it depends what you want. If there's nothing you actually want don't be one of those idiots who just spends money because they have it (unless you're really loaded obviously).
If it was me (and sort of is except I'll be 18 by this summer when I'll spend it) it'd be a gaming rig. -

Use it to make every experience you have over the next two years that little bit better. Whether it's getting an extra few drinks on a night out or getting slightly more expensive clothes or a nicer meal at a restaurant or whatever. You'll enjoy it more than blowing it on one big thing.

Re: If you had £1000 and were 16 what would you buy?If you think £1000 would cover insurance or a car please enlighten me.(Original post by Fragile_Illusions)
A car / insurance
I wouldn't have known what to do with such money at 16 lol the most I had in my bank account then was probably £100 and that felt like a lot of money to me. Now that sort of money just goes in a flash :/ -
Re: If you had £1000 and were 16 what would you buy?
I'd spend it on what I spent all my money on at 16, drinking, drugs, smokes, cinema.
Basically, a good time. Worth every bloody penny.
I'd be half tempted to drop £500 on a new amp or some tonewood so I could carve out my next project but I doubt it. 16 was college man, so much easier than uni, way more drinking. -
Re: If you had £1000 and were 16 what would you buy?Oh, the joys of "growing up"(Original post by Origami Bullets)
I was far too sensible when I was 16, so it would pretty much all have gone into my savings account.
Nowadays, however, it would cover three months of rent and not much more
