    Need help on university decision...
I wanted to go to the Bartlett, and I got through to the interview but was unsuccessful.
So now I have 2 choices, University of Nottingham, or Kingston University.

Obviously Nottingham has much higher rankings etc, but I love doing art based things, and Kingston has much more of that. The artistic part of Bartlett was why I wanted to go there.

I got my Nottingham offer a while ago, and Kingston gave me a offer at the interview recently. I feel as though I want to go to Kingston, but my parents want me to go to Nottingham for obvious reasons; higher ranking, better name. Although, my art teacher says I would enjoy Kingston a lot more.

So now I'm stuck... Do I go for the name of the university, or a university where I feel I can enjoy doing what I like more.
Also, I actually thought the facilities (workshops, tools, photography studios) were better in Kingston than UCL...

Any advice from anybody that goes to either university or have more info on this would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance guys

I'm a first year at Nottingham but don't know much about Kingston besides that their interior design course is very good. I think the course at Nottingham is a good balance between the artistic and technical aspects of architecture and can definitely suit the more arty students if they wished to present their work like that. The work I commonly see in first year is definitely more realistic but the presentation side of things can be very artistic and creative.

But I think you should go with the university you feel is best for you, not what your parents think. Architecture is a tough course so you don't want to have to compromise with anything or you'll probably regret it.
