Does anyone have the piercing with long hair? I'm considering it but it seems kind of... tangly.
Yeah i have long hair and it still gets caught round it now, but don't yank it out and you will be okay

I just googled the studio and this came up
    http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/Ci...ail/story.html

It's up to you obviously, but perhaps look around at some other shops too?
Do you have any friends who have got piercings elsewhere that could point you in a good direction?
Only people I know have got it done at the 2 options I have. All the people giving good reviews on both. I can only hope due to that story being mid last year, that it's really chaged I guess.

Pain isn't what you should be worrying about with piercings, especially more complex ones. You should be more concerned about it getting infected or rejecting.

It's the most painful I've ever had. The top hole is much worse than the lower, and I'm not sure why. Get it done by someone reputable and make sure they use a needle and everything will be fine

Put bio oil on your bump once or twice a day and it'll be gone in no time.
I've been trying that for the last 6 months ;P

it's meant to be pretty painful and pretty hard to heal, I have a helix piercing which just has never healed due to a bump it developed, make sure you get it done with a needle and not a gun
It wouldn't be possible to get it gunned:lolwut:

I've been quoted £10 so a lot cheaper than all yours

Imma pluck up the courage and go next week... wish me luck? :^_^:
£10? I wouldn't trust that AT ALL. I would expect to pay £25 at the very least! Go look somewhere else and pay more so its done properly and safely!

You could have both sides gunned then heal them seperately then put one bar through, but either way I just wanted to make sure the OP knew that guns = badd

So I went last week, or the week before I think it was. Over 2 days I got my tragus, helix + scaffold done. Scaffold hurt for the first 2 days. But they are all fine now ^_^

Getting my scaffold done 6th May (£14, but it's half price Wednesdays wooo). Area 51, Basingstoke, has brill reviews and I have loads of friends who have been there to get piercings, tattoos (and someone got a microdermal there, ewewew), so I'm quite confident in them, I'm just terrified of the pain! I'm a self confessed pus*y, and this is my first piercing...good luck to me! x

This procedure can be performed as separate piercings with separate jewellery and allowed to heal individually; but can also be fitted with one PTFE barbell, which will decrease the amount of tension placed on the structure of the cartilage itself.
The piercer should carefully mark and plan the piercing so the gauge is suitable for all the tissue it travels though.
1.6mm gauge is probably the wisest choice

    Scaffolding Piercing.
Mine wasn't painful at all but also cost £35, I've got quite long hair so I'm also worried about completely forgetting about it and just yanking it out!
I was wondering if anyone could advise me with aftercare, mine is currently two smaller bars rather than one big one. I know the usual wash with a cotton bud and rock salt water, but I aren't sure whether I'm supposed to move the bar during cleaning to make sure it doesn't start to stick or heal to it? Or wether it shouldn't be disturbed for a while, as I've only had it for two days now.

The only reason anyone used to turn the bar when healing piercings was because of the bad quality studs used in Claire's and such places which sometimes ended up fused in people fistula. If it was pierced at a reputable place it's likely to have been titanium so you're ear won't heal to it. Also turning it is likely to prolong the healing process.
