    I presume you mean x=t/(2t-3), if so multiply by 2t-3 and you get x(2t-3) =t

    Expand the bracket and collect t on the lefthand side. Factorise etc

    Your question is ambiguous.

    Is it  \displaystyle x= \frac{t}{2t-3} \ ?

    Its better that you learn LaTex.

    See the below link to learn LaTex:
    http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/wiki/LaTex

    Its not something that you need to install on computer.

     \displaystyle x= \frac{t}{2t-3}

    Mulitply both sides by (2t-3),
     \displaystyle x(2t-3) = (2t-3) \times \frac{t}{2t-3}

    It's not something your computer needs to 'have'. It's built into the forum post editor. You just write (latex) and (/latex) (except use square brackets [] instead of round brackets () ) at the beginning and end of the latex you're writing.

    There's a guide here on how to write various things:

    http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/wiki/LaTex

    Anyway. For this question you first want to get rid of the fraction so what must you do?

    Don't mind, a few minutes ago you were doing C3 trig, now you are doing O-Level rearranging. Maths shouldn't be learnt in this way, you should first strengthen your basics before moving forward.

    It would be OK if people could use BRACKETS. In this case one pair of brackets is all that is needed.

    x = t/(2t-3)

    no i finished revising trig now for c3 and i understand there are 3 questions i want my teahcer to go over and now i am revising c4 Cartesian equations

    tell me now if this is bad revision technique?

    get rid by multiplying the equation and factorising it?

    Yep. So try that and show is your working (or just your answer if you're confident you can get it now).

    My technique is different.

    I self-study maths. I first finish one module, chapter wise, then move on to the next. What i mean by 'finish' is that i try to completely understand it, so that i don't need to do past papers. Then on the day before the exam i just go through the examples in the book again, and do 1-2 past paper.

    I think this is part of C4 Parametric Equations. But I do agree this part of parametric should be going back to basics; but from my experience with other students in my school many people find rearranging the equation quite difficult (even though it should've been extensively covered at GCSE).

    This question can easily be made clear by using brackets, unfortunately most people don't care to use brackets.

    LaTex doesn't takes much time to understand, so it is worth to have a go in learning it. The basics of LaTex can easily be mastered in an hour.

    Most people tend to leave many parts of the chapter while learning, i really don't like this way.

    If a person goes through each and every point in the chapter, then he won't have such difficulties. Rearranging is something that you start learning in year 8, so when a person comes in A-Level i don't think he should have any problem with this.
