:hugs: just try and keep hope I guess? maybe speak to GP or someone they might be able to help!

yeah, I saw, tbh I wasn't surprised, I think a lot of reasons why that might be, but I will spare people my political ranting
I dunno actually. I really don't know what to do about this anymore.

And I found the link: Five-year-olds treated for depression and anxiety. Is it ok if you gave a hint to at least some of those reasons?

you're not an idiot, people lose things all the time :console: may well turn up or you can get a new copy or hopefully yeah your mum has it and is just busy!
Hopefully. I'll look on the bright side and worry about it when it gets to it.

I am sure you will figure something out

eh, I will simply say that I read a lot of interesting stuff about culture and alienation, stuff that means news stories like that are of no surprise to me sadly.

I have an exam in 5 hours  Not sure it's worth getting any sleep at this point.

8:00am update: I haven't slept at all! My exam is in an hour! I hate everything!!!

    :hugs:
If you want to talk about it I'm happy to listen.
Hope your exam went well :hugs:

:sigh: had way too much to drink last night and ended up passing out, clever.
Not good but I can see the same thing happening to me tonight. Going out with some friends tonight and getting drunk for the first time in quite a while...

I know the last few posts I've made have all been around this same riff, but I'd be really grateful if people could offer some advice/words of comfort. I really feel like I'm having a meltdown. I had really, really bad telephone interview or a job this morning, and feel terrible about it. I have my exams coming up soon, which I think I might even fail outright. My depression is getting worse again, and I can feel my levels of general and social anxiety rising a lot. My sleeping pattern is messed up, I'm always really tired but can never actually get to sleep. I'm so incredibly stressed out that I feel like I'm going to explode or something. Everyone around me is moving onto things and my situation is just getting more helpless by the day. I hardly even go out my room any more, because the levels of anxiety are getting that bad. My immediate looks very bleak, with no prospects.

I don't want to seem too needy, because I know that everyone else in this thread has their own issues, but I really, really need some kind of support right now. I don't know what I might do in this state, because I'm just so frazzled, and I just want these feelings to go away. I honestly think I'm completely cracking up under the strain of everything.
Hope you are feeling a bit better now, have you been to see your GP about any of this?

    (Original post by SciFiBoy)
I know, is just finding an outlet really, something positive I guess is best, but idk, SH and alcohol are the only obvious that come to my mind as well. maybe try and find a distraction if you can? I try and do that, may not work but is worth a shot at least, I hope you feel better soon though :hugs:
When I first went to my GP they suggested using ice tp clench and soften the urges because it doesn't leave a scar? :hugs:

    ------------------------

Not been posting here for a few days because my mum has been keeping me extremely busy. Been insured on her car so I am now mobile which is good. Also just rejoined my old sailing club back home and went racing last night which is the best thing that has happened to me in a long while. Just driven myself back to uni for the night because I am going out in town with a few friends and as I came into my room I saw the empty foil packets from the pills that caused my horrific weekend last weekend which acted as a massive trigger so now sitting on my bed trying to lift my mood somehow because I know going out and getting wasted feeling like this will be a bad move...

Just got back from seeing my nan at the hospital. Her condition has deteriorated and the doctors are saying they don't think she'll make the weekend

I don't know. I'm still quite fragile so I'm hoping this doesn't make me go downhill again. I'm just clinging to the idea that she might be ok. And thank you!

Trying to sell things and people trying to scam me / rip me off, twice! Didn't let it happen though.

Then my mouse broke so I'm using a pen to hit the clicker and got to wait for a new one to come tomorrow, which I'll be out from 2pm until Saturday night.

Nothing majorly devastating, just a bit of a crappy day. How are you scifiboy?

ah, stupid people trying to do that then!

ah, damn, I hate when that happens, I keep spare mice/keyboards/etc cause they break so easily!

im okay, mood is pretty low today, but TSR and other things are distracting enough for now.

Yeah the mouse that broke today has lasted me a year but it cost £50 so i expected a bit more from it being so expensive... so ordered a £10 one off amazon earlier :P

I plan getting drunk tomorrow and then collapsing onto a hotel bed in birmingham, so that will be a great escape from my other worries.

Really looking forward to the camping trip though, is a date set yet?

:hugs: Mood will always be lower when it rains after there has been sunshine days previous, least thats how i feel.
