can I take a bike on a train?
Im getting a train to Oxford tomorrow, its a Great Western, going to London, does anyone know if I can take a bike on it, if I have to pay extra, and if so, how much? Also, where would it go if I could take it, and do I have long enough to get it off the train when it stops?
    Thanks

I've seen people with bikes on the train all the time, they just stand by the door with it. Don't think it costs extra, but you're definitely allowed.

Yes you can take a bike on the train. Some Great Western trains have bike carriages, which you might need a reservation for.

But Oxford to London isn't that long a Journey, I think it only stops at Reading. You might get away with just standing with it by the doors...

I've seen people take bikes on trains. What i fail to see is the problem with it.
