Is it wrong to apologise to someone who is ignoring you for an unknown reason?

Is it wrong to apologise to someone who is ignoring you for an unknown reason?Hi, my friend is ignoring me because apparently I am a pussy and now he doesnt want to be friends with me. I am not sure if this is the only reason or not. We have been friends for over a year and he has known this and has still been one of my best friends and now he is just ignoring me. Should i apologise to him and say I want to be friends with him or just leave him.
The main problem is that school finishes tomorrow and then I go on study leave and then got exams. So I will hardly see him after tomorrow and we had planned to do stuff in Summer, so even though I havent done anything wrong should I be the bigger man and apologise to him?
