    pedal to paris?
    A friends asked me to do it this year, ive never done anything like it before and tbh i dont ride bikes that much but im pretty up for it,
    anyone done it before how much training would u expect someone to have?

    How exactly are they doing it? It really makes a difference if they're doing it all at once, or in stages. I'm kind of in the same boat too - I'm pretty fit, but I don't do much mountaineering, despite this i'm doing the GR20 in August

    I haven't done the actual ride but the distances seem similar to a number of trips I've done in the past. The four days are 129km, 123km, 110km and 101km, and you can choose your pace, the slower one is 12mph. It's not too hilly, and you won't have to carry much.

    I don't generally "train", but clock up around 40 miles a week cycling to school and places with the occasional weekend ride (20 to 60 miles) thrown in.

    Asking your friend if you can go for a ride together first, anything from 20-40 miles to see how you feel, then you can work out from there how much training you need to do .
